Suggestion: Mute Player Combat Voices Check Box

Recently I changed from an Au Ra into a Highlander and didn't realize how quiet the Au Ra were in combat compared to the Hyur! The combat sounds for me personally can get very grating even if they are good voice lines since its the same two battle cries over and over again. Often times for certain races (Such as the Highlanders) I'll get the same voice line several times in a row which is really distracting and irritating. I've tried changing voices but unfortunately all Highlander voices seem to have this same issue! I also made 'voice mute' and 'voice un-mute' macro buttons that I can press before or after combat, but often times I'll forget to un-mute right before a cut scene and miss out on the voice acting! Also, if the fight has voice lines from bosses I won't be able to hear them which takes a lot of fun out of it! I also personally like to hear my characters voice during their emotes which this method gets in the way of. Turning down the 'self, others, or party members' sliders in voice settings mutes their sound effects as well which I actually like hearing! I feel like it shouldn't be too difficult to add a small check box in the sound settings to ONLY mute the COMBAT VOICE LINES from PLAYERS, and leave all other voice lines/sound effects untouched. I feel like this would be a very nice quality of life change since I wouldn't have to determine my character's race or voice purely on if they make too much noise in combat! I know some other people can find other player's voices grating during combat sometimes too, although this isn't personally my problem this fix could also help in that situation as well! I hope you consider my suggestion, thank you for your time!

Its possible to slide the voice setting/volume down, so that while in combat you cant hear it due to sounds effects, and player effects volumes, but while in cutscenes only BGM is playing.

You could always fantasia into a less annoying voice too.

You can most certainly tweak it until you find a pleasant level. You can also adjust the BGM if its too high vs your desired battle voice sound. I do this for Ambient sounds. The only way to turn down "PUT IT ON A HOT PLATE HHAHAHAHAHAHA" sounds while in a busy city, without getting rid of doors opening and closing sounds etc.

Also, better place to put this thread would be Gameplay> User Interface.

Lastly, if you get this check box, I want my auto hide chat log. Its cumbersome to manually hide the chatbox when its inactive and regularly check it to catch my friends talking. Was such a nice feature in XI and 1.0, no idea why they didnt re-implement it..

I have messed around with audio settings quite a bit! Nothing really seems to be a 'perfect' level as often times voices in cut scenes are much too quiet when I find the 'perfect' levels of sound. Unfortunately I've tried out all of the Highlander voices and all of them seem to have this same issue with me! I could just go back to playing Au Ra, yes, But I actually really like highlander and I don't really want battle voices to be the determining factor on which race I play. Sorry if I posted in the wrong section! I saw the word 'suggestions' and saw some other posts with other game play suggestions and thought this was the right place! I'm new to the forums, it's my bad! Again I just feel this would be a very nice quality of life change, nothing too major but would make a large difference to me and some other people I know who have similar problems with the battle voices!
