Huh. I have seen this seam before, but I've never seen it so pronounced. Can graphic settings impact this maybe ?
Possibly? Could be skin tone too, i have all my settings on the higher end though, either way its pretty stupid
It's obviously a tan line from where he was wearing a necklace! Durr!
Seriously though, I haven't noticed this before either. I have to go check my Elli if it's visible on him. He has a darker skin tone. My alt is a lady Elli, I'll check her too.
edit: Just by looking closely on some of my screencaps, it seems like my male character has a visible seams too. Doesn't seem the same for my lady but I have to look in game to make sure.

I can't imagine it'd be too difficult to fix, it's definetely lame. let's hope!
Ah I've seen this bug before. Just adjust the weight and it should disappear.
Wait no that's skyrim.
I hadn't noticed it at all (on my alt) until you pointed it out.
Looking at it now, I think it's to do with the way they stand and have their head turned to the side by default, since it's only visible on the "squashed" side of it and not the "stretched" side.
Hopefully it won't bug me from now on, though in any case I tend to use high-collared shirts for him so it probably isn't that visible.
