Paladin is Paladin in french too. Chevalier and Paladin are 2 different things. Sry if I didn't understand something ^^They probably use the Japanese word for "Knight" for the current Paladin job. I know that's the case for what they call Paladin in French ("Chevalier"), so I'd expect it to go the same way for most languages.
I think it'd be cool to see if they could bypass that language barrier issue.
Also, I think dancer comes from the First, so the name for Eorzean should changeb but stay dancer for the First.
We don't know where the DNC trainer is, but considering they put the SAM, RDM, and now Gunbreaker trainers in ARR areas, I'll be surprised if they don't do the same for DNC.
Gunbreaker is in Gridania and Dancer in Limsa.
That said, Red Mage and Samurai started in Ul'dah despite originating from other regions so that doesn't mean Dancer won't be related to the First.
Except Gyr Abania and Hingashi were just other places on the Source. The only travel across shards that hasn't required suicide and an Asican has required the Crystal Tower.
I'm going to guess that Gunbreaker will have its origins in Ishgard(Skysteel Manufactory wanting to contribute more than Machinists, creates their own gunblades to field against the Imperials) and DNC will have its origins in Ala Mhigo just because of the similarity between its artifact set and the antique ceremonial outfit that Lyse inherited from Yda.
Yes but we don't know how travel between the worlds is going to work, and Yoshi hinted that Dancer would be connected to where we're going in the Europe fanfest, and it's showcased in the new city in the cinematic. So it's still possible the job is somehow tied to it. We just won't know until early access starts.Except Gyr Abania and Hingashi were just other places on the Source. As for gun breaker given the name I'm guessing it's designed to counter garlean artillery/guns, but we'll have to see.
Now I'm not saying 100% confirmed that Dancer originates from the First but I don't think we know enough to rule it out either. Especially since we don't know everything about the crystal towers both here and on the First. It could be linked to the First without necessarily having the main quest NPC having crossed over recently etc. We'll just have to see.

Yeah, just had to check that. I know at some point the game was using Chevalier early on, but at least that's one of those issues resolved.
As for Dancer, we only see them in the First in the trailer just because I think it's more intended to be a "feature showcase" thing. We're not really going to know officially until we have the info on the special website for Shadowbringers.
