Company-chocobo glamours. I don't mean bardings, though.

There have been instances in the game lore where it's implied that the magic techniques used to perform glamours can be also performed on living things. The heretic guy in Coerthas who "turned into" a dragon is a prime example. Another example is the levequests in Mor Dhona where some voidsent (the flying eyeball ones) were disguising themselves as voidsend that have been around in the area for awhile, almost seeming native. (I think they're called hapalits?)

So, I think it would be cool to make my chocobo (when summoned for fighting) look like something else. No stat changes. No new abilities. It would just be a vanity thing.

No, I don't think SE will never add such a feature. But wishful thinking can still be fun to think about.

Well, to begin with, it would help if you specified what thing you want your chocobo to turn into.

I think this would be really cool if we could glamour our Chocobo to look like one of our mounts, specifically one of the Beast Tribe mounts. All of them minus Kobold, Moogle and Namazu have a mount that is based off of a type of mob we fight in the game so they already have attack animations. The Companion tab for a very long time said Companions which lead a lot of us to believe that we would be getting a different type of Companion instead of the Chocobo. I love my Chocobo and am definitely not complaining about what we have by any stretch of the imagination, but it would be fun to be able to change him out every once and a while into something else. It would really add some diversity to our open world party. I do think that if they ever did this that they would restrict Barding from being used on Glamoured Chocobos as it would be WAY to hard to go back and rework all the barding for each monster.

A few of our other mounts are ready for it too, like Fenrir (has loads of attack animations since it's also a boss).
