    Code 20524

    Whilst attempting to find the cause of persistent system crashed, I uninstalled FFXIV and I am trying to reinstall it.
    All of the game except the update seems to go in as it should, but when it reaches the last part I get an error code: 20524.
    I have tried three more complete uninstall / re-installs of the game, unfortunately I still get the error message.

    I have turned off my AV/Firewall (Kaspersky) in case that was causing it, also I have made sure windows firewall and windows defender are off.

    I have performed a few re-installations of this game in the past, however I have never seen this before.
    Is there anything directly that I can do, or it it simply a matter of waiting until it passes and I stop seeing the error message.
    Any advice would be extremely useful, thank you.

    * Still trying, no luck. Both full re-installations and repeated attempts at the update.

    To solve your current issue you'll need to edit your game.ver and boot.ver (right-click and open as notepad) to the current version number. To find the current version #, load the client and look at the top left corner.

    Thank you, however I have been attempting these solutions, unfortunately non of them seem to work.
