New PC and I crash ALL the time.

So my old PC died and I went out and bought a new one. and now the game crashes all the time and it never did on my older crapier computer. Sometimes it crashes after ive selected my character but before the game actually loads. Other times ill play for 5-15mins before ti happens. And on the weekend i got about 4-6 hours of uninterrupted gamplay in before it happened. However today when i logged in (3 times in arow) the game crashed within 5 mins of playing.

I dont know what the problem is my new machine is way better than my 5 year old one that died and the old one ran the game fine...please help me out!

Also i checked my event viewer and got these messages:

Event filter with query "SELECT * FROM __InstanceModificationEvent WITHIN 60 WHERE TargetInstance ISA "Win32_Processor" AND TargetInstance.LoadPercentage > 99" could not be reactivated in namespace "//./root/CIMV2" because of error 0x80041003. Events cannot be delivered through this filter until the problem is corrected.

wuaueng.dll (1140) SUS20ClientDataStore: A request to read from the file "C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution\DataStore\DataStore.edb" at offset 0 (0x0000000000000000) for 65536 (0x00010000) bytes succeeded, but took an abnormally long time (123 seconds) to be serviced by the OS. This problem is likely due to faulty hardware. Please contact your hardware vendor for further assistance diagnosing the problem.

Quick question, when I try to get my specs from the XIV System Information, the application stretches so large that I cannot see the bottom. How are you copying and pasting this info?

try a chkdsk on the drive that houses your ffxiv installation.

Easy fix. Sounds like your power supply. It appears you power supply may not be enough to power your video card. Even if you got a high wattage power supply, you need to make sure to have enough voltage on your 12v rail to power your graphics card.

I think a PSU problem would crash the system rather than just the game. Try what ninesunz said. Sounds like a HDD issue.

I am doing my Disk Check right now. I'll refer you to my other topic: http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/t...upt-File-Found . That is a compilation of my uninstall >>> reinstall and the errors I occurred while doing it. I deleted everything (and that means anything FFXIV) from the computer and started fresh. I ran into multiple errors and to top it all off the large update that you have to download (12 parts) would not install due to some errors which I then decided to run this disk check. I started the disk check around 3 hours ago. It is still running right now.

This is a brand new computer it started with nothing FFXIV on it for my first install i havent encountered any errors except for when it crashes and sometimes it blue screens when it crashes. Everything else on the computer works fine..just ffxiv likes to shit itself.

Bluescreen = bad and never the applications fault since it's caused on driver/kernel level.
On a fresh system this either means some hardware wasn't installed correctly or is broken. With ffxiv heat is usually a big issue so I would check that(GPU/CPU).
