Thread: Hrothgar/Viera head glamour requests

As we know most head items will be invisible on the new races at launch but the devs intend to make some of them visible over time.

Q: With the two new races' unique heads, how will their headgear work?

A: It won't be displayed, because those face parts wouldn't work in FFXIV's system if headgear were involved. Even Viera ears would've had to be moved down to where Miqo'te ears are. It would've been meaningless if you couldn't go all-out creating characters from these new races, so we decided that helmets wouldn't be necessary. You can equip them, but they won't be displayed. However, things that replace the head are OK, like the snowman head, fat chocobo head, etc. No glasses. Basically, the default is that it won't be shown, and only things that replace the head are ok. We'll make more things compatible over time, bit by bit, but they won't be compatible at launch.

Let's start listing items we'd like to see prioritized so they can take our wishes into account as early as possible. Feel free to post individual items or general categories, and also like the posts you agree with.

Good idea! It's likely I'll meet my post limit if I post all of them separately so I may have to group them up a bit. Everyone could also quote individual pieces others have mentioned that they would like to see implemented the most.

These are the highest priority to me from my list.

They kind of go in the same place as glasses and some masks, so could they be worked on at the same time?

I imagine that all the small accessories that are just stuck in the hair should be the easiest to implement.
