I used a generator because I wanted to be lore-correct and straight up panic-slapped on a last name off the top of my head and I have to admit it flows quite nicely.

First name is from a character I made for a manga project based in the setting from the index/railgun series. Last name I was super lazy and used my actual family name. My alts follow a similar suit taking first names from other characters I made for other stories.
I love flowers, so Kiku works as a given, and I chose to honor one of my fav Japanese singers for the surname. 私は川田菊です
Gyaru!
Before I played this, I played both FFXI and WoW. When I came over to FFXIV, I brought friends from both XI and WoW with me. My FFXI friends knew me as Spiriel and my WoW friends knew me as Basanda, and since we all migrated together at almost the same time and I liked the names anyways, I just put both names together so they would all know me. It's kinda funny in a way. You can tell who came from which MMO by what they call me.
Where did the Spiriel and Basanda names come from, well I'm not super creative so I just found some of the most cult games I knew about and pulled names out of them. Only one person has recognized the names so far, heh. Maybe more have and just didn't bother saying anything, but only one has said anything.
My name, Adramelia Mercedes, comes from both Final Fantasy XII and MapleStory.
Adramelia is inspied from Adrammelech of the zodiac sign of the Capricorn (my favorite Esper in FF12), also my zodiac sign. Adramelia is a "feminised" version of the name.
Mercedes used to be my main class in Maple Story (now it's Wind Archer).

In most of the MMOs I've played you could only pick one name, so I usually used Tressym. A tressym is a winged cat from D&D Forgeotten Realms but I really just picked the name because it was unique. But when I started FFXIV I couldn't think of a good last name to go with it so I went with the name I used for my alts in those other games, Acesfool, which is a play on poker slang for a full house. And of course it was easy to split into a first and last name.
Thanks for that - I did realise there's a chance it's inaccurately translated (especially with so many meanings to cover briefly) but I liked the general 'zone' of the various meanings. And "positive/uplifting" definitely works for him too!I saw where you found the info for these names and no worries what you have is fine, but there is something I wanna bring to your attention in case it was unknown. While the kanji you would use for the name "Haru" 陽 does mean "light" and this kanji combined with thick/fat (太) makes the word for sun (taiyou/太陽), the light part is actually yang, as in yin and yang. The name actually means light as in positive/uplifting.
As for the last name, as you said it's literally wind and song combined. Not bad but it does hit the same as it might in English. You could always change it to Fuuta, since it means the same thing, in a way. Honestly Windsong sounds a bit better to me, sorry... forgive me. T.T
And yeah, I'm in two mind about translating the surname or not... If we didn't have to pay for name-changes, I'd switch it over and see if I like it better.
I have a few characters so:
Tlachtga Ereshkigal: Tlachtga was a NPC from Etrian Odyssey. I just took Ereshkigal from Mesopotamian mythology.
Kirsche Scheherazade: Kirsche was a minor NPC in Atelier Firis. Scheherazade I took from the Arabian Nights.
Kupala Iwaoropenelep: Kupala was a NPC in Etrian Odyssey 1. Iwaoropenelep was a boss she summoned in EO1, and a recurring boss in the series.
Raquna Arken: Raquna Sheldon was a party member in the Story Mode of the EO1 remake, Etrian Odyssey Untold. Arken was a NPC in Etrian Odyssey 5.
Caoimhe Diva: These rhyme lul
Kit-kat Chunky: Future Hrothgar.
Vichys Soise: Named after Vichyssoise. Wanted a food name for my NA lala that involved potatoes in some capacity while being somewhat original.
Had a dog named Gizmo, love Gremlins. Changed the name a bit to make it sound more Lalafel style
I've used this name for something like 20 years. I can't remember why I created it, but I wasn't aware of the song by the same name at the time, I just made it up separately.
