    Rogue->Ninja->Samurai Cloth or Leather?

    Hi,

    Just a newbie question...

    Whats the difference between gearing my Rogue/Ninja(one day a Samurai) in Weaver gear vs Leatherworker gear?

    My character is only a 30 or so Rogue right now and I intend to go Samurai @LvL.50.

    I see both crafts make gear with similar stats.

    There is no differece up till 50.
    At 50 and higher ilvls NIN will split up with MNK and SAM, also SAM gets a set of gear to start with the unlocking quest, you should only need accessoires and a belt (make sure it is for SAM because of the mainstat difference to NIN) if i remember correct.

    The "material type" of gear isn't really a choice you need to make - it's all about the stats, and the material is irrelevant. It's just set based on the visual design of the gear, and what crafter would logically make/repair that item.

    As Legion mentioned above, once you reach Lv50 you'll also see a shift from generic DPS gear to variously-named "Gear of [Verb]ing" for different classes. You'll want Striking gear for your samurai, and Scouting for your ninja (if you continue to level that as well).
