Gsync/High GPU Use/Wont Limit FPS

I suspect this is the issue a handful of people are having - new nvidia drivers simply don’t work with XIV properly. You get stutter, not an FPS loss. Nvidia support recommended I don’t get an RTX when I suggested I might upgrade my 1080ti, because of the issues I described.

Basically none of the drivers past 3/28/18 work right for XIV. They stutter and eventually crash.

Are you playing in 4K resolution? It seems if playing on 1080p, the video cards can power through the issue, but in 4K it can unless you run dual video cards.

I’ve been dealing with this issue for a year with NVidia with them FINALLY responding and calling me last week. I’ve messages numerous times on the tech support forums for XIV with no resolution from SE.

The unfortunate thing with an RTX, they weren’t available a year ago so rolling back to that date won’t work for you.
