Thread: Leaked 5.0 Class changes

Oh dear, these look really amazing!


Red Mage
- Verraise now increases damage dealt by 20% to increase focus on red mage's main gameplay mechanic.

Black Mage
- To bring black mages more inline with other magic dps classes, black mages can now use Phoenix Downs during combat.
- Black mages now deal increased damage when being damaged by area of effect attacks.

Summoner
- Bahamut now scales with boss height and spreads its wings more to increase visibility.

Bard
Bards underwent a major overhaul and lost their ability to wield bows. Instead they are now able to chose from a wide-spread arsenal of musical instruments, casting powerful attacks or supporting allies in their time of need.
Chain musical notes together releasing devastating strikes, and stay in rhythm to make them even stronger!

Astrologian
- Combust has been removed
- Malefic has finally been replaced by Stella

White Mage
- White Mages have not received any changes. They are fine

Scholar
- Dissipation now orders away a targeted party member

Dragoon
- Fixed a bug that would allow dragoons to successfully jump out of area of effect attacks

Samurai
- Higanbana has its sound pitch increased by 50%

Ninja
- Trick Attack now instantly deals lethal damage to caster when its rear bonus does not trigger

Skill Glamours
All spells, skills and abilities can now be customized in color and have a selection of different effects available for even more customization options, once they have been unlocked!

I know this is a joke but Aion's Songweaver had a similar mechanic for their combo spells and it was really fun lol

Bards will be able to shoot arrows from their mandolins instead.

There is a WHM change which was recently datamined:
Stone has been removed, as the class was over reliant on it for dps.
This has been replaced by "Hurling Insults". A skill which lets you customize your own phrases which can then be thrown at the target.
The damage is reduced but it's far more interesting.
