Genderlock reminder to SE

playerbase wants genderlock to be removed as soon as possible.

I thought I'd read something different from this thread. I would have supported you if this was a reasonable request. But nope, you want to push them to do that as soon as possible (i.e. take out resources from other content to do what you want). And as Seraphor said:

You know when I think what if SE DID put both races and genders and took out a chunk of content from ShB to do so, how many of you crying for that now would be crying "this expansion is the worst! I wish they only did one race [insert preferred race here] instead of [insert other race here] and gave us more content!!".

Yes, it was an overreaction to prove something that wasn't taken into account.
Players feedback are taken into account as they stated , but it's also the fact that we have too many threads on the same thing which breaks the actual impact of the matter.

If you want to be taken seriously on something, create a detailed feedback thread with all the replies on the issue and respect the others if in turn you are asking for respect.
Calling people petty just because they don't share an opinion is a long way to be taken in consideration for anything.
Also yes, i did read all the replies and the threads and never did i say something against it, just stated gaps in logic.

As I stated in multiple other threads that should've all just been one big thread so as to consolidate feedback, it appears as though these 'majority' complaints are mostly from the NA/EU datacenters, and from the amount of back and forth on all threads, all this new thread does is show the dev team exactly how split the NA community is about genderlocks. There is no cohesive 'we', and every genderlock thread seems to have just as many supporters as detractors. So, these threads just show how divided the playerbase is, and how there is no such thing as a 'majority' - especially when you look at how low the number of actual FFXIV players are who visit and frequent the forums.

Then again, while I'm in the NA, I'm Japanese and so have a different cultural view as all of this, much along the lines of what is the societal and cultural norm for most JPN and SEA. While it would be nice to have more options, it simply isn't possible yet given their relatively short time to launch, as Yoshida has mentioned they were already low on time/resources just doing the races they're implementing now. We need to have patience, and accept graciously what we're getting while hoping for more later, instead of demanding things happen right now or 'soon' when doing so would hinder already time and resource strapped developers.

This kinda stuff makes this topic very irksome to people. Not only do we have this vocal minority making threads all over the place but they try to pass off their PoV as the norm.

Aren't you doing the EXACT same thing by claiming it's a "Vocal minority"? How do you know? At best you can say "It's impossible to tell if it's a minority or majority". To say otherwise is disingenuous.

Making new threads every day won't do much more other than clog up General Discussion with copy-pastas of the same thread. Keep the feedback in the already very active thread with a few hundred pages.
