Yeah, I guess you're right. I just feel like such an ass for leaving in the middle of a group, regardless of the reasoning. I try to do my best and see things through to the end. Perhaps I care way too much about such things.

That's one option, but it all depends on what you feel like doing at that time, whether it's stirring the pot, being the voice of reason or just plain getting rid of the ass hole/leaving the group. It all depends on what you feel like doing at the time. I've played mediator and had to salvage groups numerous times in FFXI. The challenge can be fun some times.. But other times i just cbf and i ditch the group and find something else to do.

I think its time for a poll on this..... I would create it but I'm "cutting back" on threads.
Not everyone will post their opinion about it(which is bad). As we saw in the server merge.
So, would someone like to create a poll?

here is my take on it:
Dungeon finders, they are great if you don't want to wait to make a party. That's cool and all, but... That will lead to always using it when possible. As I've seen/heard on these forums(I can throw out quotes) people don't want time syncs or give 30mins to just "wasting time". So, if this is implemented people will maybe shout once or twice, than hit up the finder. This is bad, especially for people like me that will boycott the system(as I am doing with the goobuu, I still don't have mine). If I get in a group that does that, I will leave(ya my choice I know).
So, I go about to create my own group. I get half the people, the people don't want to wait around for more people and leave(because I don't wanna use the system). I've seen it many times when I try and walk to places(they kick me). Now, that creates rude players if you ask me. If something is implemented for you to be lazy about something, you will throw that laziness at other people.
So, for the people saying"Just don't use it" well, it effects everyone, not just a few. Also, people will get away with other things, and maybe they will do that in their own community as well.

I don't think a poll will change anything either, unless their is a huge backlash, like their was with the server merge, where every new post is about Content Finder the dev team won't think their is a problem.

We have no idea what they plan to include in the content finder, I think its short sighted and ignorant to complain about something you know next to nothing about.

Every patch there are people complaining about some such rubbish and then 2 weeks later its as if it never happened, just like everything else it will be forgotten and accepted.

Well... we do know about it JINKO, he said he would like to implement a "dungeon finder" so people can play with other people on different servers....... That's the issue I have with it, is playing with people on other servers.

From how he discussed it, the servers will be made of clusters (lets say 3 for argument sake) so it means when you do cross server content you will only play with people from those 3 server, it won't be like ever server is linked.

Or maybe those games just attract those kinds of people, just like XBL does for example.

There is consequence anyway for example if you were to ninja loot or act like a jerk in game wouldn't that reputation follow you here also ?

Unlike Wow we only have one main character so its in everyone's best interest to preserve their reputation.

What Ironic is we are in the process of merging servers, and yet we have people saying oh we don't want to play with other servers, too late.
