    Ground travel from Black Shroud to Gyr Albania

    I had moved my home teleport from Rhalgr's Reach temporarily, and decided to return by land to avoid the heavy teleport fee, but I couldn't how to get there. (I'm not rich enough yet to ignore teleport fees.)
    I finally figured it out, and I'm posting this for other searchers, and possibly a fix if anyone from Square Enix notices and cares.

    If you click the return arrow on the map leading to Black Shroud, you get the whole zone, with no arrows pointing back to the Fringes. I spent nearly 30 minutes searching for a way back.

    Google turned up a post saying it was via an NPC next to the Baelsar's Wall dungeon, but all I found there was a Serpent Scout who offered no help. I finally paid for the teleport and, after setting home again, I backtracked to the Shround to see where landed. It was at a tower just north of Baelsar's Wall. It is NOT marked by an arrow on the Black Shroud map, or even on the East Shroud local map:

    Note that the link text "The Fringes" is in a shade or yellow that blends nicely with the map background, and it's further obscured by the surrounding text / graphics.
    This really needs a big red arrow like all the other zone links.

    Noticed it too. That's kinda strange since it is still an NPC in Gyr Abania side and there is an arrow on the map.

    Considering gils, you can make more with the challenge log. And by placing your free return and some favorite efficiently TP, you can save some teleport fees. With hunt and GC seals you can get free tp bonds. Don't forget airship : Gold Saucer is free and allow to access for free to Ul'dah.

    I dunno what hunting is like on your World but a Hunt LS/Hunt train will definitely help. A whole round of A ranks and maaaybe a lucky S rank will give you enough seals for plenty of tickets.

    I think the difference is that the red arrows only mark maps that are actively connected - you can walk directly "out of the map" and into the next area. If it was marked like that, people would be asking where the path is and why can't they find it!

    The green icon at Amarissaix's Spire *is* supposed to be standard for "move to another area from here", but it's not as obvious as it should be. And I agree, the gatekeep should definitely be at the edge of the path down to Baelsar's Wall, rather than at the Spire.
