


Question, what size do you keep Demi-Bahamut set at; small, medium, or large? Also does using say small diminish his appearance for you?
Talking bout summons in general i wish we would get the original Final Coil of Bahamut Sprite instead the current light blue skin... q.q

I'm actually fine with the way summoner plays but it would be nice if the newer abilities were summon related or we have more glamours.
But you also don't want to divide the fanbase that prefers the DoT playstyle over burst damage. Maybe have a bit of both.
It's time we quit beating around the bush here. Summoner only has one true design change it needs:
-replace all abilities with summons
-trap your entire party to watch a 60-180s long cutscene animation that places the entire fight on hold, each and every time you cast your summons.

I like the XIV incarnation of Summoner and how it plays off of the franchise-long notion that Bahamut is the most powerful summon. I think the egi's should be changed to their Warring Triad counterparts (Garuda --> Sophia, Ifrit --> Zurvan, Titan ---> Sephirot) though, as it fits with SMNs Allag-based lore ...especially since Tri-Disaster was revealed to be a WT reference in the lore book.
As for more trances and demi-primals, I personally think it's unecessary. Everything about SMN down to their AF gear is a nod to Bahamut, and I prefer it that way since he's definitely the most iconic FF summon.


I'm interested to see what they do as someone who has been critical of Summoner's direction.
Wishlist:
- Drastically improved egi & demi-bahamut A.I. and responsivenes.
- Bolster the identity of Summoner with egi/primal based attacks. Why are our dots poisons? Miasma & Bio should become Ifrit & Garuda based wind/fire dots where the egi appears and quickly burns/whatever Garuda would do, apply a dot, and disappear. Logistically, they could pick any of the egi/primals to do this with.
It´s time to change the skills of the summoner to the pets and change the egi appearances, that is something that we have been asking since 1.0, they are ridiculous in comparison with other games or ffxi, and of course implement new avatars, I would like to see a diabolos or anima in shadowbringer. I would also like avatars to have special skills like haste for the party
or elemental attack buffos depending on the invoked as Ramuh's Enthunder

Things I liked from the preview:
- Aetherflow is now an spell that deals damage and grants two stacks of aetherflow.
- Egis are instant-cast
- Looks like there was a fire-based dot that can be cast when Phoenix is up.
Things I don't like:
Phoenix using a slightly modified Deathflare. They really couldn't be bothered to give it its own attack?
