Ive started played this game in Heavensward. By doing so I did the ARR Hildy questline in a row.. I loved it, so many laughters, fell in love with the characters.

In Heavensward because I had loved it so much, everytime the Hildy quest came I would do it, and I will be honest, It was a bit meh. It was ok, but didnt have the same "punch" as ARR. If you ask me the story behind it i honestly do not remember much.

So in Stormblood i decided not to do anything until the very end. I started it 3-4 days ago. WOW!. For me Hildy is back!! I LOVED IT! maybe even more that ARR... im not sure. I laughed so much. There was attention to so many things, past, present and future. I wish i could explain more but I dont want to spoil anything.

I felt there was effort put into it. I want to congratulate the Devs. Thank you!

Now, I dont know if I liked it so much because I did it without interruptions..., all in one go,... or because quality is better. So I through this out there for all of you that have had similar experiences. Is it better just one big instalment at the end, or divided, like it is now? For me open to debate.

It is not a spoiler to say that there is a new Trial!! And I have to say that I enjoyed it. It is not faceroll, so it has some difficulty to it, but once you know what to do it is easily achievable. So gratz on that trial, I liked it!

The Emote - Fantastic!!! How could we ever get an emote like that if it wasnt Hildy tied!??!

I have seen some forum posts, opinions, saying to not continue with Hildy. I for one would like to say, that I would miss Hildy a LOT if it wasnt in next expansion. For me personally it was great. Please please continue with Hildy on next expansion, but with the same quality as ARR and Stormblood.

I will begin by saying that I absolutely love Hildibrand and his quests and I don´t want them to ever stop.

That said, I feel the quality of his storylines, or should I say their fun, was in decline expansion after expansion. I´d say Hildibrand quests grow more mature and serious each time, even if only a little, but I feel that also betrays their original purpose, which was to be comic relief. Of course there are some awesome moments of laughter, but they are more scarce. On the positive side, though, I like how Hildibrand evolves and does some useful stuff this time.

Thanks for you comment , I fully understand what you are saying. I kind of agree, but I also think it has to do with character development. When something is "new" it is exciting it is new, but then that character needs do "grow". So Hildy has to "grow", his character, his story.. so things need to evolve. I guess it can become very hard to write a character like him and evolve him. I think Heavensward was not very good, but I think they did make an effort here. I laughed a lot. New characters introduced also that have meaning and could be used in the future.

See I dont really know what SE wants with him.

Imagine he eventually becomes a villain or a super ally in actual main story.. I dont know?! These characters have super powers, him, his dad and his mom. Makes it super funny, but it opens many possibilities for the future.
