Taking into account their race's name and the queen's name from the Gunbreaker lore, their names are likely going to be Norse and Germanic.

Nordic makes sense, considering the race and queen name, along with rough geographic equivalence. If it does lean that way in the end, it makes me wonder if the naming conventions will include a nod to the other cultures that seem to draw from a similar pool (ie Sea Wolves and some Hyur seem to have a northern/Germanic thing going on), like they did with Elezen and Midlanders / Roes and Highlanders.
Ronso-style naming would('ve) be(en) cool too, IMO.

Gunnhildr reminds me of german names from the Middle Age. (Well, more like Gunnhild without the r, but oh well.)
I'm taking Lore way too seriously. And I'm not sorry about that.

Brunhild is the German version of the Norse Brynhild/Brynhildr. Gunnhildr, I'm assuming, is either a gunblade joke or a reference to Queen Brunhild/Brynhildr marrying King Gunther/Gunnar. I wouldn't be surprised if Helion names lean Germanic and Lost names lean Norse.
Gunnhildr is a real name too.

The name is also actually the probable etymology of the word "gun" to begin with, so a clever way of introducing a gun-based class with the origins of both the technology (probably) and the word.

Update is today, do we have word yet?

They already stated in a previous post they are delaying the Name Changes fyi. A dev commented on it.
