Why are you transferring?

Because I don't like Gysahl's playerbase. The target for my small group of LS members is Sargatanas, but we've selected Aegis temporarily in case Sargatanas never opens up.

Interesting, I'm leaving Wutai because most (though not all, there are some good players) of the NA player base I don't care for as they seem a bit immature and don't know or don't care to properly gear themselves and try to improve their strategies. I mean when you're wearing crafting gear to fight moogle, that says something. Then there's the overwhelming "don't leave anyone behind" mentality, which means 2 of us are doing 60% of the DPS while the other 3 DD run around like chickens with their heads cut off dying. I just want everyone to pull their own weight, which may make me elitist, but doesn't necessarily mean I'm a jerk. I know that there are 'casual' players on every server, but Wutai seems to have it bad.

Looks like Masamune will end up with a bunch of people that care more about the server name and how they look than actually playing to the best of their abilities. Though in some cases I suppose it is the best of their abilities, which is just sad. March 27th can't come soon enough.

Wanted to transfer because sometimes you need a fresh change. But it looks like Masamune will never open up again or im catching it at the wrong times :/ spent a hwole day hitting refresh and nada

I'm leaving my server for Ridill in hopes of being with a higher FFXI population. I heard that is where most FFXI Veterans are (Since its used to be called Selbina). I'm also going to be joining Triple Spark on Ridill to play with my FFXI buddy Mugen Mugetsu

The server i'm on now has been one of the lowest populations out of all the servers. This has brought about a very weird tension in everyone. If you play on Palamecia you know Everyone practically. Sometimes that is good, but for me it isn't. Our server (Palamecia) is filled with people from random MMO's, time zones, and skill sets. It is so hard to get a good Ifrit/Moogle PT going because there are not enough people who know what the hell their doing (You can only blame lag so many times). A lot of them don't even know how listen to good advice or grow from their mistakes. And the people who are actually halfway decent and know what their doing are elitist and not very friendly. I'm hoping being with more FFXI players will help solve that problem. What I also dislike is because our population is so low on Palamecia, just about everyone is in the same Linkshells. There is no Linkshell loyalty anywhere, people jump ship all the time. I am also afraid of the 2 other Servers being merged with Palamecia too. It's just going to add the same random MMO players together and will still have the same problems. 3 Low pop servers don't make a right!

I'll miss the friends that I've got but I'd also like to see how an established and very populated server will work for FFXIV. I'm sure there will be another transfer available for 2.0's release to make everyone happy. So it wont be so bad if I dislike Ridill.

Destain, I wouldn't be surprised if there is some prejudice against ppl from the other servers. A lot of people on Palamecia are already trying to make a Palamecia linkshell network to band together. Its that ass-backwards, on Palamecia at least. This is also a reason I want to get out a there lol.

even though I want to transfer, the short answer is, I'm not. Not because I don't want to, but because it appears that 10 people have already been transfered, and that was what the cap was set at.
