well, maybe. But they worked on females figures very well, so I'm sure they can do suitable representation for males too. From this point of view I would say that their old concept was slim enough.

Yet the females made it into the game just fine despite being exactly that, to the point it looks like they share a model. I really don't get him sometimes. Especially when if you look at lore, no race is redundant and can bring something to the table. A lot of people don't care about that but a lot of people also do and I wish he'd stop ignoring that when talking about adding races.
I have no interest in role-playing an Elezen male. I really wanna roleplay a male Viera. It's more than just aesthetics.

I still say they should go for a midlander/highlander type split because no matter what they decide on, people will be upset, more so than with any other race/gender.

Especially given that Feol Viera exist. So it's not people asking for things out of nowhere.

Eh, what'cha gonna do. Best to do is just keep spreading, apparently there's been a lot of pushback? against unlocking genders though, so good luck getting your feedback through.

Feol aren't that much shorter than full bloods right? and again foel are a mixed race, I doubt they'd make a subrace based on a mix race.

While personally I'd be very happy with more elezen-like height and features, I think it'd be more fitting as a race if they were closer to the female viera in height and build, close enough to not be able to tell their gender from a distance, just that it's viera.

I think the base model for male viera should be same as the female viera, just with a modified torso and different customization options.

One that you get as soon as you login with the launcher , like the maintenance listing.
Once per account only, and for a fixed time , like two months.

A simple multiple choice one like :

Do you want male Viera ?
1) yes
2) do not care
3) no

If you choose [1) yes] , you can get more questions on how they look.

Something like that , I am sure others can put up better questions , but I do prefer simple and direct.

The females of both Viera clans look similar tho, with just different shades of skin.
So the males most likely do as well.

I think the best that SE could do is to manage expectations. They could release another concept art of what they envision the male Viera would be and stick to it throughput the development.
