SE pretty please could you let us know?
I am itching to get the new name for my Viera before someone else does, and while I do have a possible idea about the first name, based on the known Viera people, I know nothing about the last name.

I wish we had some lore on the Hrothgar.
I’d like to change my Hrothgar-to-be alts name to something lore friendly and have no idea what to go with. (and I’d like to use the free server transfer to change the name for free as well but oh well)
As for speculation:
Some people are throwing out ‘Norse’ roots, but that’s already taken by Dragons, unless we’re expecting modern ‘nordic’ names instead, like Swedish/Finnish/Norwegian. This would kinda makes sense for a patriarchal society, stuff like x-son, as in son of (fathers name), ‘Erikson’ etc.
Ronso on the other hand apparently have loosely Tibetan lore, and being mountain dwellers that kinda makes sense. (although I don’t think it applies to their names)
Could that be our two clans name roots? Nordic/Tibetan? Or do you think the Tibetan aspect just be present on the First?
Just going off the look of their racial equipment, I think there is going to be more of a Nordic influence to them. At least in the source. It is very strange that they're going to launch the race with 0 introduction in the actual game though. Au Ra and Viera both got primed in the MSQ to an extent. We known next to nothing about the Hrothgar.I wish we had some lore on the Hrothgar.

if au ra is anything to go off i really doubt we will see many NPC hrothgar or Viera in ShB and we wont know much about them till a expansion later
Well it's implied it's home to the Viera, but we don't know it's on the First yet.
It's also home to the Nu Mou and they're mentioned in the Return to Ivalice lore, which would indicate they're on the Source.
We've seen Rak'tika with a day/night cycle.
And the scene with Uriangier and Y'shtola/Matoya seems to imply it's on the Source.
All of the zones are on the First. I think Yoshida actually confirmed that in an interview, but if he didn't all of the zones shown so far have the same new unique aetheryte crystals, including Rak'Tika. We haven't actually seen a day/night cycle in the Rak'Tika trailer, it could just be the canopy blocking the sky.Well it's implied it's home to the Viera, but we don't know it's on the First yet.

I'm Scandinavian and I gotta say nordic names attached to these hunky bara cats would be hilarious for me.
But I think for naming conventions you should probably look to ffx, there's more Ronzo with different names yea?.
I know for the females atleast, its two syllably namse... Mjrn (Pronoucnes Mee-urn), Ktjn (Pronounce kitten), Jote (Yote)... so try two syllables with an icelandic/norse pronounciation for the letters
The English voice actors also have Icelandic accents, so I agree with this, and looking into Icelandic names could be a good place to start for a lore appropriate name.
