Seriously, BST should be a limited job if there was ever a job more deserving of that title. It is like mentioning the best basketball players but leaving MJ out of it. I think it may be a hybrid of a DoL & limited job. I could be completely wrong of course.

My short piece is that I want to see beastmaster with a hand-axe, or a whip and operating as a melee hybrid with beast support allowing it to occasionally attack at ranged. we don't need more ranged classes right now.

I can see Puppet Master making it before Beastmaster. Either way, I love both jobs.
I love pet jobs and SMN is not cutting it for me.

I’ll make this brief. After new job announcements it’s obvious the two spots remaining to really round out the cast of Jobs is another Healer, and a Physical Ranged DPS.

Healer, sure, but why Physical Ranged DPS?

There are 2 Striking, 1 Scouting, 1 Maiming, 3 Aiming, 3 Casting, 3 Healing, 4 Fending; or 4 Tanks, 3 Healers, 3 Ranged-Physical DPS, 3 Ranged-Magical DPS, 4 Melee-Physical DPS; or 9 Ranged, 7 Melee, however you want to divide them. What makes Aiming/Ranged-Physical the obvious choice, as opposed to, say, Scouting/Melee, Maiming/Melee or even Casters/Ranged-Magical?

I think BST Is Possible as a non-limited job especially since they have been testing out things like Automaton Queen, and Living Shadow, I hope it shares gear with Dragoon.

Ill be so pissed if they released bst as a full job. However i preferred they not release another limited job until blu becomes a real job then i would understand to add more limited jobs. Because as of right now it's a waste of resources on their end and complete waste of time as well as money

I think I'd rather see Beastmaster fill our 4th DoL slot.. make it some we can gather monster drops at a higher rate.. leathers, fur, fat, and eggs.. anything that's dropped by monster as a part of them.. maybe give them a scythe or something as a weapon or a Shepard's staff?

Maybe a new instance zone like the masked carnival where you can tame monsters and they appear in it for you to gather from at max level so you don't need to run around everywhere looking for a certain enemy.

Tops I could see two pet roles, a Tank for over world soloing and a DPS pet for in dungeon, and limit "glamours" to the pets. BTW, by this I don't mean they all need to behave the same way, but lets say you get a Scorpion pet, and a Tiger pet, they both potentially would have their own sets of auto attacks and AoEs, but they all will always do the same amount of damage and have the same area coverage.

That’s better than everyone using Courier Carrie or the grasshopper pet for everything, which has been the case in FFXI. DPS output might be the same but at least players would be able to tailor their stable to their liking.

The FFXI developers could have added more pets than grasshoppers or crabs, they were just lazy. Hopefully, not a single soul from that team who made FFXI BST will be behind XIV's version. They should be ashamed with that pet selection. While I liked the job, those devs did it very little justice.

I like those Soaring Shark mobs that look like Tchakka from FFXI. He is a normal mob now, thus could be tamed. We need that glacial lion monster from XI in XIV too. I just want variety in XIV. XI gave us variety, a variety of colors of the same animal. MEH.
