I can’t see them releasing another Ranged Physical any time soon, and I mean before 8.0, but BST would seem to suit the limited job role perfectly.
Limited jobs aren’t a terrible idea, but BLU was implemented really badly.

They are a terrible idea in my opinion. I don't want limited jobs that can't use the duty finder or participate in raids. The majority of relative fun is participating in end game content, gathering end game gear, and continuing to be relevant. I don't want another mini-game job. It deserves more than that. So did Blu Mage.

If the Masked Carnivale was then implemented in a way that all future Limited jobs could take part in and perhaps compete in a PvE context, some kind of leaderboard or something, with similar rewards, it could be well worth doing as an alternative to PvP.
Add in a limited job option for deep dungeons too.

At the end of the day it's still nothing more than a side-show one trick pony that you can't join your friends in when they are clearing extreme primals. Turning jobs into a daily/weekly facebook game isn't engaging. It's a waste of potential. The class fantasy deserves more.
