FFXIV - FFXV Crossover Items cost MGP?

Over on Facebook there is a thread going in which apparently someone data-farmed a vendor in which it shows the event items costing MGP.

Does anyone else have any information on this, that the event items are going to require being purchased by MGP??

Since Data Mining is not allowed it's best not to discuss it like that here until information becomes naturally available. That said it would make sense that obtaining the rewards will be via some means that's easier than the permanent / long lasting events as Yoshida said it won't be too difficult to obtain .

I would suggest checking out the FFXIV reddit/Discord if you were curious what other people might be thinking.

Didn't realize discussion of data-mining was a no-no here. Having come over from ESO, they freely post data-mined information on their forums all the time.

Well then, it's a good thing I've been accumulating the Squadron +15% MGP rewards, guess I have a use for them now.

Square has a harsher stance on it than other devs for spoiler reasons, mostly. You can still easily find the information on the subreddit/4chan /vg/ thread/Discord servers, it's just that discussing it here is kind of taboo.

Always save MGP! . Even if you just fail LoV, Weekly Fashion Report, and Cactpot you'll slowly accumulate a good amount - which is nice as you never know when some awesome 1 million MPG item appears lol (and you wouldn't want to start out at zero then XD).

I usually do TT participate and win in saucer and battle hall, mini games, and LoV. If I happen to get GATEs done during that... then extra bonus. Choco racing takes too long and I don't care as much about it since I got my barding already.

Oh and at least the 10k fashion report, and easy 80s if it requires MINIMAL effort on my part.
