Ultima is the FINAL spell.
It is the most devastating spell of 30+ Years of Final Fantasy.
ARR confirmed it to be most ancient and powerful spell.

Ultima does not make sense and we should not offer some cheap dumbed-down spell, no matter what Shard we're on, after how badly the game emphasized its power in ARR from Ascians who travel across all the Shards.

Final Fantasy released Ultima in FF2 in 1988. The spell is over 30 years old.

Do not give in to people who just want a name to feel better than their actual DPS.

So i just checked the final fantasy wiki, the only time there has been ultima 2 or 3 or such is brave exvius where you can get an ultima +1 , which is just a stat upgrade ultima cos of mobile game power creep, and chocobo racing. BLM getting demi ultima could be fine cos the ultima beast uses it in fractum hard, but it could only use it because it was some freakish allagan experiment.

There has been Ultiga (Ultima III) in some Nintendo FF games. It is not very popular as I said though and Ultima is usually considered the strongest Black Magic spell but... they could do a lot to give some kind of Ultima to BLMs.

Well hang on a second. SMN has Bahamut which is the pinnacle of summoned monsters. And it's also considered Black Magic. There isn't any reason outside of personal opinion that it's can't be added to BLM or RDM in the future.
