No, summoner had DEMI-bahamut.
Demi being latin for "not really".
So "not really" ultima.
The ultima spell, ahem it would cause extreme lags and risk game crash burn pc and explode my headphones and earbleed but still it would be awesome![]()

Demi-Ultima already in the game guys. nothing compared to that gramor peace when ultima weapon used it. i say demi ultima used can actually saw i feel black mage casting it.
Demi-Ultima isn't a nuke. more like a shot from magatnic pulse rifle. that navy use does really cast expansion it will leave huge hole in something woah

The lore behind the spell is that it requires a very high concentration of aether. So it would be naturally suited to jobs which weave external aether into their abilities, like WHM or BLM. With BLM being the big nuker of the two, it's the natural option, but given the lore limitations on the spell, it'd have to be a weaker version. So I think Demi-Ultima works best. As long as SE could provide some interesting mechanics to it, so as to avoid it just being an overwrite of Foul, it'd be a cool addition.
Although there's some clamour for a VerUltima, I think should come after some form of Ultima is added to BLM, and then RDM can get its own version, which like VerFlare/VerHoly, will be based on workarounds to account for the fact that RDM limits itself to its internal aether reserves (plus of course the augmentation the focus provides.) Frankly, though, I think there's other options RDM could go for, for 5.0. The same goes for Demi-Ultima, it's not an urgently needed spell, just one I'd like to see some day.
Hear hear.Demi-Ultima seems appropriate.
As for "rocket science" for BLM is concerned, please don't dumb the job down any further than it already has been, thank you. I understand that many people who play the class just want to see a big number and AFK in their cool robes in town, but many of us enjoy playing it at endgame and don't want it to be boring.
