    So what were healers left with? Same benchmark for accomplishment as everyone else. Bigger, faster DPS numbers. So you're treated like everyone else that shares that benchmark. You're not you're own role with a different set of requirements for what it means to win, you're judged by the same merit they are: "Do more DPS". The DPS is what's making you feel accomplished in the role. Healing is just the mini-game you're playing on the side.

    Other games I'd think "I'm working hard to keep them alive so they can do their job and kill it. This is the part I play." In FFXIV I think "Welp, that healing part is done, I better get back to pulling big deeps so I can prove I'm a good healer..."
    That is so much more articulate than what I could have wrote. That was exactly what I was attempting to get at. Healing is too powerful to feel important. That power gets in the way of healer identity. Adjust the power of the heals and you will have wiggle room to make every healer unique.

    What healer identity do we even talk about ?? Why is it that we get a new tank when they have way more imbalance then the healer. People play whm at least but what about drk being a unicorn ?. They tell us there isn’t a new heal because it’s hard to balance the 3 heals but we see it even worse on tank side and to make whm viable there are just some tweaks needed. Aka either some group utility, more dmg, bedder mobility and that is easy to do. Tanks need a complete rework and they still get a new tank and healer are just getting some crap about hard to balance. When your static healer beg you to switch to pld because it’s easier to heal and you have so mutch more group utility it shows how shit drk is in comparison and I killed uwu and ucob with these guys. What a sad state tanks are in even worse then healer but like I said they still get a new toy so if they fukk up drk reworking we can atleast play gunbreaker .

    I just checked the logs again to see how bad the tank situation is in comparison to the healer one and drk gets doubled by pld and war log wise we’re whm atleast get is almost even in comparison to Astro just because and like i said b fire tanks still get a new job even when they are way more imbalanced and that shows how bad it is.

    Yes that’s more of a reason why but still then tell
    People the truth and don’t come with balancing bullshit when clearly healers are way more balanced then tanks. It’s like pld and war is played double the times in savage and whm only like 10 k less and they still make a new tank and have the audacity to tell us healers are not balanced so there won’t be a new one. Same crap with blue mage not being a normal caster.

    I thought it too, the tanks are in worse position than healers because DRK not played enough (same for MCH for ranged dps).
    But, in our case, SCH is played too much and this is a problem too (+ WHM issues, +AST Noct issues, etc).
    I think SE can rework DRK without really to take into consideration the others tanks (same for MCH).
    They can't tweak only WHM to hope things would be better. Every job need some king of rework to be able to not have a dominant healer (SCH) and a healer a bit far behind (WHM).

    And don’t get me wrong I like to play drk from time to time but holy lord it sucks and it isn’t fun when you can’t do nothing to save the party from a raid wide aoe were a Paladin has a shield and wings and cover to cheese so many mechanics and Intervention for 10 dmg reduce or more. And what does drk has ??? They took Delirium away so you can’t reduce magic dmg anymore and TBN on the offtank isn’t even worth to block and you do it more for the blood then anything else. The reason I despise the last raid tier so mutch Ion influx is the most bullshit raidwide aoe ever desinged just be Quad it one shots you with out massive dmg reduce and ofc they made pala wings instant just to kill drk even more the same with Astro and whm. Were is the quality of life change for whm ?

    Reworking drk with taking the other tanks out of the picture isn’t possible. War is to oppressive main tank wise and pld has to mutch group utility. So you either buff drk massiv or you cut down the other tanks there is no in between. And the Problem with Astro noct is it sucks in comparison to sch that has way more and stronger dmg reduce and a flying Regen with brain that has even dmg reduce ability itself on a short cd.

    From a strict numerical standpoint, SCH is the weakest healer HPS wise. SCH would run out of MP the fastest if it would actually cast heals. SCHs personal DPS is lower then WHMs. There's a reason they could buff SCH from 4.0 to 4.3, because in solo-heal content (=Dungeons), SCHs performance was overall that poor.

    SCHs toolkit just works extremely well with either WHM or AST. On the other hand, WHM and AST tookit doesn't work together. The reason everyone runs a SCH is because AST + WHM do not function together, not because SCH is hideously overpowered.

    People should understand that savage healer performance is something that does matter overall very little. The vast majority of content, either dungeons or your generic alliance raid and normal dungeons (let's be honest, that your partner there is just dpsing is quite frequent) has to be healed alone, and every healer needs to be capable of doing so.

    Don’t forget all the interviews done. Balance here also means the way the healers were fundamentally created. The heals vs shield dichotomy. They do not like the way that played out and want to fix it first. I’m viewing this a potentially good thing.
