Racial Stats

Is 5.0 a good time to get rid of these and just make everyone's stats the same across the board? They already got rid of the attribute points. I feel like punishing players for liking the aesthetic of one race or clan over another with 3 less points in a stat is rather... old school? And yes I know 1 or 2 or even 3 little points between clans / races is meaningless in the grand scheme of things when our gear is giving us 100s of points at a time... But it's still there in the back of your head for some, including me, and it just kinda bugs you every now and then.

It's literally within margin of error at the highest level. A crit here, DH there is going to make more difference.


It's flavor for the races and nothing more. I hope it stays honestly.

Those stats are so small they have no effect on end game. They should be removed, but because they are pointless

I like that old school thing lol, it rarely bothered me even when it was on gender. It did annoy me when one gender was just clearly better at the entire game, good games made it as a way to struggle voluntarily against the lower stats (especially if the dialog shifted because of choices, like having a really low intelligence character in fallout games lol) or alternatively destroy mechanics by playing into the stats via optimization and different play styles. Was also interesting that sometimes you'd pick a race or gender you didn't think you would just because you were forced to confront the reality that in one game the female elves just destroyed people with their magic and that's how you wanted to play or dwarves upgraded your gear so good that you had to have one.

Actually I miss race talent/abilities from WoW which made them feel even further apart, but that can get messy when one race's ability are just plain awful compared to another lol (so it can be a problem/annoyance).

I guess I wouldn't be annoyed if they were removed but I feel it's cute flavor and doesn't really hurt anyone (obviously it annoys you a bit, but I mean I'm sure you expect a lot of people to respond to you with "it doesn't matter for combat, don't worry about it" :P). Because this is an MMORPG and a sort of do whatever you want how you want game I just want to make it clear I'm not arguing for one race/gender being clearly superior to another at any given task. It's better we're all starting at a similar place - unlike say FFXI races, at least way back when I played, which had some important and clear differences (both interesting and punishing, but that style of punishing game (at least back then) is clearly not this style of game).

Racial stats are like an appendix. Doesn't really do anything and is a byproduct of an earlier time.

If so, then yeah. They should make things equal across the board.

Except for Lalafell's. They need -100 luck. Until they die, then everyone gets +500 luck from the sacrifice! >:3

I didn't even know racial stats were a thing. And reading what others said, its extremely minor to the point where it doesn't even matter.

But i honestly think they should keep it. Why? Because people will complain like crazy over it. People will suddenly all care at once, and whine for it to come back.
