One shot 383ilvl with 385 weapon but I play smn so titan took all the hits while I went ham. Did have to manage diversion and lucid dreaming so titan could gain hate once I summoned behamut.

Everything, besides your precious glamour, will become obsolete at one point because the game continues to grow. If you see it like that, you can already stop playing because you will have to level up, gear up, farm new tokens for crafting recipes again. You understand hyperbole, no? I’m alive so obviously I’m not being liiteral. That aside, I think you underestimate the amount of content this game has to offer besides fleeting iLVL progression.
Example: I could had spent that time grinding MGP for glamours that don’t become obsolete, or aiming for mounts, or minions. Or leveling other jobs that still would be level 70 today. Or furnishing housing. Etc etc.
I’m not saying YOU can’t enjoy the pursuit of iLVLs, but I will just never do that again.
I don't have a problem with players that are new or returned players that are undergeared, what i really don't like are players that are refusing to get their gear to a certain point. These players are a burden for their party on purpose.

Well, players that me will continue to exist and bother you, so maybe you should be the one to quit.
It’s weird you think mounts, minions or house furniture can ever become obsolete. Any new addition to the game does not make my old favorite mounts any less useful. It’s not like new mounts are faster than old ones.
Even job levels I can always build in top of. Old gear, becomes completely worthless. If I end up getting new gear that is up to date, it will be by natural play, but also unlikely because I can’t share my favorite jobs gear.
Sorry, but not sorry that I’m having fun with the game.

380 is a good ilvl 375 imo should be the bare minimum. But honestly going into the next expansion the average should be ilvl380. However going into the first dungeon you can use trusts so if you feel you are undergeared you dont have to worry about it.

Well you can do casual contents casually without any intention of grinding and still be able to obtain gears.I cant talk for others, but I just came back to the game about two weeks ago, after being away over a year. My highest gear was i320. I was basically BIS (for armor) until the savage Omega came out. The toxicity of the high end raiding community was part of why I quit the game.
Now I'm back and will just stick to regular casual content (dungeon, alliance raids, MAYBE normal mode raids) but I'm definitvely not killing myself doing weekly targets of any kind to grind best gear possible. If any content demands me need such an investment on gear, that's the end of my subscription again and for good.
I do already have a couple Genesis pieces, though, but I rather work on leveling other jobs than grinding gear that will become obsolete in a couple months.
TLDR: casual players, returning players, and casual returning players.
I also took a hiatus for a year before and missed about 50 ilvls when I came back. It didn't take long to catch up even without grinding.
Let's not forget the upgraded weapon for Centurio Seals at 340 (I think just doing the weekly B rank for SB and HW gets you enough seals to buy and upgrade the weapon) and the HoH weapon at 365. While not exactly optimal they can be gotten rather casually and are a step above the 300 weapons. In the case of HoH I can't recommend farming just for the weapon but doing it while you're leveling a class in there is a nice bonus.

Very good point. Only reason I have a decent weapon is because the FC made it for me. I didn't even realize until I read your post that there was not going to be a weapon drop from Ghimlyt Dark. I kept hoping for drops for my alt jobs and was thinking I was just being very unlucky.Considering gear drops from the most recent MSQ dungeon are item level 375, I can't imagine more than that.
I somewhat agree with you on the weapon. There's not a good way to get one of those.
Eureka Weapons(Low skill, Supposedly "Play to Win", but also takes less time than building a fresh learning static from O9S)
Tomestone weapons also require Normal Raid drops. (Low-medium skill, Guaranteed within 4 clears and 1k tomestones)
Extreme Primals (Medium skill, Guaranteed within 10 clears)
Savage Raid Weapons (Medium-high skill, luck)
Ultimate Trials (High skill, Guaranteed within 10 clears)
Oh, and Crafted. (No skill. Gib moneys)
Highest casual weapon is 300, and the weapon does impact your damage probably the most significantly. This is one of the more surprising changes from Heavensward to Stormblood that they have made, removing weapons from the level cap dungeons.
I wonder if they did it this way to encourage crafting? It's honestly very silly that dungeons dont drop weapons.

My main i breezed through it like nothing, my alt PLD 361 couldn't get the third down, I would say for high burst damage jobs 360-365 should work, for lower burst jobs probably 370-375 will do the trick. Get most of the Omega set and a i360 weapon and it should kill itself for the most part.
Why the hell should i be bothered with players like you? I find it rather entertaining that people complain that they can't get certain MSQ's done because they are that undergeared.Well, players that me will continue to exist and bother you, so maybe you should be the one to quit.

If i have someone extremly undergeared in a content that requires gear i will kick this person because i'm not willing to carry a lazy person through said content since it is my time and no one besides me pays my sub.
The 390 tome weapon is a casual weapon btw. its easy to get and doesn't demand any crazy stuff...
I cleared it as a level 400 warrior on the second attempt because the first time around I didn’t notice the cast bar and failed.![]()
