My views on main story

I will not say a lot as I dont want to spoil anything. For me the fight was good, easy, but with enough mechanics for the average player to overcome. The story though.. what is it with keeping with cliffhangers... its all cliffhangers, no answers to anything. Isnt this the end of Stormblood?.. i mean.. its frustrating. We needed some sort of more answers of what is going on.. its basically no end yet. Stormblood in general is a filler, just filler, ..., for the whole story .. that is not fair for a whole exp.

Dont take it personally its just my feelings after finishing MSQ. For example Heavensward, for all its faults gave me a sense of "closure" of "ending" for that expansion. This doesnt. At least for me...

Im not a fan of how it "Concluded" either. But seeing what we are going to be dealing with next Expansion, it makes a little sense that we didn't get a "Conclusion"
Because the battle isn't over, there is a much bigger threat still to come, and whats currently happening is tied to that.

I fully understand what you are saying. Still there are ways of dealing with it. Dividing this last instalment of the story in 2 segments and then giving us this... For me felt short, not fulfilling. There are ways to entice the next expansion, there are ways of making the story continue. BUT it is the finish of an expansion and .. we got very very little. If it is supposed to make me feel "awe" the next expansion is going to have so many things to take care off... no it doesnt. They already told us we are "travelling" to a different world .. a different world filled with Light, so we will become the warrior of darkness... what about this world? all the stories didnt get any sort of closure at all.. nothing... its all up in the air. They should have given us something... i felt it "meh" and like the Dev team is having trouble with whole story concept ...

Stormblood ended in 4.3. 4.4 onwards has been a prologue of sorts to 5.0

Personally, i think the MSQ was fine. We got a few answers to what has been going on, but more important, we have been shown that the WOL is not unbeatable - and Aymeric acknowledges that they rely too much on the WOL.

In terms of impact, it is less impact full to ARR to HSW and HSW to Stormblood which both had high stake scenes at the end. I think instead we have played through these scenes rather than be a bystander. They could have shown some scenes, but i dont think they would have given rise to a greater sense of resolution.

I think that perhaps the big cut scene we were expecting we will get in the beginning of SHB. I always thought the final 3.5 Cut scene would have been better at the beginning of 4.0 and i wonder if this is what we will get. In any case the story has ranked up, and i cannot wait for SHB to get my teeth into it. I think, this is good story telling by the devs. We are engaged, we merely have to wait for our answers.
