I think that title, as much as anything, is what built up an expectation that it was going to 'end badly' - waiting to see who we'd be mourning, because there was clearly going to be someone dying.

"Clearly", except they didn't.

In fact we've got the lowest (known-character) body count out of any finale so far.


I wonder if the final product drifted a long way from what was originally planned for this segment of the story, but they didn't think to change the title. Maybe it was going to end with us in a more dire situatuion - but then they thought "wait, we can't leave the player like this for the next three months..."
There's also the cinematic, with one of Yugiri's Yoshimitsus battered and embedded in the ground.
As soon as she started to leap in and Elidibus charged up a Spark, I was expecting a closeup of them falling tip-first into the foreground while her lifeless body landed behind them. I'd love to know if they initially planned for her to die, or if it was always going to be a fakeout like Y'shtola getting cut down in the Revolutions video.
