I literally just got off work and saw a post about patch notes, and I was like, "oh I forgot about that." Then the post was like, "where are they?" and I was like "oh no!" lmfao.
apparently here they are, though:

What are these changes to the ARR primals? O.o
Some I can understand, like the ones for Titan gaols in Story and HM don’t die if they’re trying to solo them and get gaoled... but the others seem like they’ve patched where level 70s could push the bosses and skip their insta-kill Ultimates (e.g., a level 70 SAM can kill Ifrit before he jumps to deal Hellfire without touching the Nails).

While infernal nails are present, dealing a certain amount of damage to Ifrit will cause him to become temporarily invincible. Hellfire can no longer be prevented by dealing damage to Ifrit.

The damage dealt by certain variants of Hellfire has been increased.
The Navel (Normal) and the Navel (Hard)
If all surviving party members are trapped in granite gaols, the battle will no longer restart. Instead, the trapped players will be released after a certain amount of time has passed and will incur damage.
Players trapped in granite goals will no longer be automatically KO'd when hit by Earthen Fury.

While grey arbiters are present, dealing a certain amount of damage to Ramuh will cause him to become temporarily invincible. Judgment Bolt can no longer be prevented by dealing damage to Ramuh.

Also, really lol. 6 years later you finally add the invincible status to Ifrit during Hellfire? Alrighty, then lol.

Seems rather unnecessary at this point considering they're old content. I'm genuinely confused. What are these changes to the ARR primals? O.o

There's more nuance to this.
Prior to now, the original ARR primals were Invulnerable (it was unmarked, but they were) while charging and briefly after using their 2hrs. Anything you did to them during that time wouldn't count, including trying to build stacks or maintain BLM element. This change makes it so that you can still debuff them, build stacks, etc, even though they're not taking any damage.
Invulnerable means nothing happens at all when you hit them. Invincible means you can still hit them, but they take 0 damage.

Good shout. Recognized the difference and the cause for change immediately. It's super frustrating if, in all the flashy effects, you fail to realize invulnerability, and suddenly your stacks end despite maintaining rotation. There's more nuance to this.

Interested to see the results of the rest of the changes, tho. Dunno about the rest of the primals, but I know lately I've been seeing some well geared groups clearing Ifrit Extreme with no regard to nails, being able to push damage and kill him before it triggers the wipe. While I can sorta understand wanting to mitigate that behavior, if that's what they've enacted, will also be a bit disappointing that power creep won't be making things easier into the future.
Oh my gosh!
Finally, this will make gearing up my alt jobs much easier.
LOL. More beast tribe quests than MSQ quests.. tho most of them are probably go here, do that, go back.
I think the primal invincibility thing is to keep people from pushing the boss and K.O. ing the party if you are unsynced. For like... BLU mage spells or... trial roulette or... something?
Yeah, the MSQs are probably a bunch of mini objectives rolled into 2 main objectives. Wouldn't be the first time, won't be the last.LOL. More beast tribe quests than MSQ quests.. tho most of them are probably go here, do that, go back.

Idk... the wording is confusing because they say the ultimates can no longer be prevented by dealing damage. Maybe it’s just late and my brain cannot process what they’re actually saying.LOL. More beast tribe quests than MSQ quests.. tho most of them are probably go here, do that, go back.
