I literally just got off work and saw a post about patch notes, and I was like, "oh I forgot about that." Then the post was like, "where are they?" and I was like "oh no!" lmfao.

    apparently here they are, though:

What are these changes to the ARR primals? O.o

Some I can understand, like the ones for Titan gaols in Story and HM don’t die if they’re trying to solo them and get gaoled... but the others seem like they’ve patched where level 70s could push the bosses and skip their insta-kill Ultimates (e.g., a level 70 SAM can kill Ifrit before he jumps to deal Hellfire without touching the Nails).

    The Bowl of Embers (Extreme)

While infernal nails are present, dealing a certain amount of damage to Ifrit will cause him to become temporarily invincible. Hellfire can no longer be prevented by dealing damage to Ifrit.

The damage dealt by certain variants of Hellfire has been increased.

If all surviving party members are trapped in granite gaols, the battle will no longer restart. Instead, the trapped players will be released after a certain amount of time has passed and will incur damage.

Players trapped in granite goals will no longer be automatically KO'd when hit by Earthen Fury.

The maximum damage dealt by Judgment Bolt has been reduced.

The Whorleater (Hard) and the Whorleater (Extreme)

While gyre spumes are present, dealing a certain amount of damage to Leviathan or its tail will cause it to become temporarily invincible. Tidal Wave can no longer be prevented by dealing damage to Leviathan.

The Akh Afah Amphitheatre (Hard) and the Akh Afah Amphitheatre (Extreme)

While ice soldiers are present, dealing a certain amount of damage to Shiva will cause her to become temporarily invincible. Diamond Dust can no longer be prevented by dealing damage to Shiva.

Also, really lol. 6 years later you finally add the invincible status to Ifrit during Hellfire? Alrighty, then lol.

Seems rather unnecessary at this point considering they're old content. I'm genuinely confused.

LOL. More beast tribe quests than MSQ quests.. tho most of them are probably go here, do that, go back.

I think the primal invincibility thing is to keep people from pushing the boss and K.O. ing the party if you are unsynced. For like... BLU mage spells or... trial roulette or... something?

Yeah, the MSQs are probably a bunch of mini objectives rolled into 2 main objectives. Wouldn't be the first time, won't be the last.

Idk... the wording is confusing because they say the ultimates can no longer be prevented by dealing damage. Maybe it’s just late and my brain cannot process what they’re actually saying.

Don't forget these 2 quests are setting up 5.0, so they're going to be really heavy in terms of cutscenes.

Don't kid yourself about these two quests, they can have you talking to several dozen npc's in almost 6 different zones, maybe with several dungeon runs inbetween.

Don't think because there are just 2 quests that there won't be a mountain of fluff between accepting and finishing the quest
