There are about 500k active players if I remember correct? Still a lot. Though I don't think that all of those 500k using forum at all. Not to mention that some people do not read even patch notes, what to say about streams and fanfests.

JP forum, as example, tend to be called "powerful" in term of changing things (for obvious reasons), but in comparsion they are not even near as active as English Forum. (Well, they just do not hassle for nothing usually, so their messages are mostly about main topic). So in terms of minority and majority 500 people on forum is not really small amount (though I am agree it still look hilarious).

There's literally a thread on the main page with 1,077 Replies, 74,746 Views and over 1.1k "likes." And that's only for the male Viera. Several reddit threads have hit 4 digit upvotes on the topic as well. "Maybe 500 people" is REALLY lowballing it.

Not on the schedule right now, no yes, no no, just that.

Given that other interviews suggest the current race options were a matter of time constraints I'd say that with enough support there is a decent change we might get male and female options to fill in the blanks some time in the future. Now whether or not that's sometime in the 5.0 patch cycle or well into 6.0 - if it even happens - is anyone's guess however.

I don't know about that I mean it was asked about at a fan fest but got lost in translation. Unless you're counting the multitudes of threads right now about not wanting genderlocked races vs the one that just gets bumped once in awhile about wanting the visual outlook at least of the hempen sets to be not tied to what race you play.

I wouldn't expect it to happen until 6.0. Any earlier and it'd risk stealing development time from other aspects of Shadowbringers.

I'm not opposed to Viera men being added, though I want them to look like this:

I don't want the creepy, child-like version some are requesting.

Correct me if I'm wrong (since English is not my native tongue and I'm not omniscient) but to me it sounds like SE actually wants to listen to what the community has to say on that matter. Like 'if noone cares that they are genderlocked, we won't take the effort to implement the second gender' ...but if they do care...
I interpret this as a 'let's see what the community wants' and yes, propably they just hat not enough time and budget to implement two full races which is a shame in itself. But I believe it's not easy to develope a game, not in how hard it is to design and program something but in getting things funded and people paid. Investors pushing on bringing new content out even if there is not enough time to make the game as good as it should be just because more money and stock market and capitalism. It sure is sad that the gaming industry works like this as well but if we want a huge and epic game like FFXIV we might have to endure such things.

I don't want to defend genderlocking the races in any way, I myself had a huge mental breakdown over the realisation that my plans for Shadowbringers and roleplay all in one had been crushed and I probably want male Viera rather sooner than later more than anyone else. I'm just saying that this interview shows to me, that we as the players, as the people who pay for this game need to make our voices, our opinions heard and not just silently swallow anything they might throw at us! Reasonably and politely but still, we need to say something if we are not happy with what is given us for our money. Maybe then investors or whoever is responsible will understand and reconsider changes. Thats why I reply to any post regarding the matter, voicing my opinion, even if it's just a short reply, like every Tweet on the matter and sign any petition, just so SE sees how much we DO care.

Just keep everything reasonable, otherwhise people come back at us again, talking us down how we are just children throwing a tantrum to invalidate our concerns.

    Let be honest here.

"We will first look at feedbacks" is the business way of saying they wont. They already have the feedback about male Viera for what... years now ? Viera as a race was already a thing before heavensward. I wont believe a professonal team of game designer from a company like Square Enix haven't already took the time to take it into consideration.
