Just throwing this out there, Yoshi has always favoured comedy when it comes to his game and reveals; hiding behind second meaning choice of words. He said this will be the last race added, he never said there would always be genderlock. Having a female ranso or male bunny isn't off the table but give them room guys! They are working on a whole expansion, two new jobs, 3 including Blue Mage, working in two races despite the gender locking which means reworking all the armour somewhat and who knows what else they have up their sleeve to make the game fun alongside reworking the battle system yet again! Just chill out and wait.

We're not expecting them to immediately add the male bunnies or female lion, that'd be insane at this point of the dev cycle, we'd just like confirmation that they will be added eventually, preferably before 6.0.

Honestly after reading some of the interviews that have been coming out I'm pretty sure we're eventually getting Male!Buns and Fem!Cats. The reasons listed have been a lack of resources and time, Hrothgar were apparently JUST finished for example and they still need some tweaks before release, rather than anything malicious or outright 'no we would never consider it'. The worst I've read is the comment about Male!Buns being 'weird' but that isn't an outright saying no to the concept. I think that if enough people still want them half-way into the expansion and they get enough resources we'll see the gender lock lifted.

It'll probably happen in the future, but not now. Patience is something a lot of people lack. Therefore there will be complaints all the way up until they are revealed in who knows when. A year or two from now.

I know Work to games made a point that when the original races got gender unlocked it took the calamity to do so. So maybe in 5.x or 6.0 we will get the other genders via plot reasons.

I mean I get being upset that ones gender is restricted onto a race I don't like it but it hasn't ruined the game for me and it is not like they have removed them from the game after being there.
