Revert fantasia changes

hello, I used the fantasia that is obtained through the ARR MSQs a few hours ago to go from hyur highlander to hyur midlander but when I started playing again I didn't feel comfortable with the changes I made.
I already made an in-game report through the support desk but this is the first MMO that I play so I don't know if I did the procedure correctly there, so I prefered to make a thread here too.

I would like to revert the changes back to how they were (female hyur highlander)

Buy a new fantasia. That's all there is to it. It isn't like the Crystal Bell that changes your hair and minor cosmetic change, it's a mog station item that they give you for free.

SE might be willing to revert the changes, but I imagine this is just like the item restoration service in which you can only do it once on your account. If they do offer this, it might be better to refuse it as you could require to use it for something else in the future. I would advise hanging on, perhaps there will be a MogStation sale soon where you can purchase a new Fantasia (if money is an issue).

I have never heard of this. Could you elaborate and explain when this service was advertised or announced for player use?

One-time item restoration is something that SE has done in their MMOs since XI. If they ever made any sort of announcement for it for FFXIV it is probably buried on the 1.0 forum. I've never done it myself, but it is something you have to submit a request for to GM for in-game and as said can only be done once per account not character. I think the request has to be submitted fairly soon after you have lost the item you want restored as well, since to my understanding they just roll back your character. Honestly I think using it on a fantasia would be a waste. There will probably be a big sale on the Mog Station in late summer after Shadowbringers launches if you don't want to pay full price for a fantasia.

The information for the service can be found in-game through the Support Desk. On opening this menu, the information tab should be the first one displayed and if you look in the FAQ section at the bottom there will be a title for "One-time Item Restoration/Exchange Service". Going in to this option elaborates further on the service and also the opportunity to proceed with it if that's something you wanted to do.

For future reference, I'd suggest you create a new character and save its appearance, to "test" how it looks. After you are happy with your choices you can fantasia your main and apply the saved appearance.
