Information on why the devs didn't include Viera Male/Hrothgar Female

Honestly, this is much better than 'lore says nah'' - it means most likely the counterparts will be released in the future. Hopefully. I'm not going to jump the gun and get my hopes up, however.

I will continue to hope so. It'd be nice if they came in a patch.

Selective reading. There has been plenty of people saying they would rather have one full race, be it Hrothgar or Viera, over this genderlocked nonsense. I'm one of them. I would have given up female Viera for female Hrothgar in a heartbeat.

People are forgetting that Hrothgar have only truly been on the table for 48 hours while male Viera have been in the wind for months now. It is only natural that once the pot boiled over, the first thing to come out would be the feelings surrounding male Viera. Already you are seeing more people take a shine to the idea of female Hrothgar and rallying behind them too now that fanart is coming out of them.

I really hope they'll have time to do it mid development cycle, but I'm not holding out a lot of hope.
Nevertheless I'd like for it to be added before 6.0, thats 2 years away.

So i dont care much about the male Viera but i do care about Female Hrothgar (and female Viera of cause). I do belive they will deliver them but will they do it without the pressure of the comunity, im not so sure. We will see how long that will take, Female Viera Took ages.



Male Migote were added after long "diskussions" and that other male Race i dont care either.^^

So instead of giving us one complete race they decided to give us two incomplete one while also not saying "don't worry. We're working on the other halves" to calm people down?

From the looks of it i would say the same, but still i just wish someone would have responded to those "Ranting and raving" Posts.
And than give us a half backed excuse like " Yes we are working on it but do to the Difficulties it will take some time before we release them"
.... maybe that wouldnt have made any diffrence^^ ppl would still have been mad because they still would have to wait longer.




And for my part they could release both the Races Females first and the males later

Even though I'm team Viera I would have been more okay with Hrothgar only and SE not ruling out the possibility of another race later. So I'm thinking the decision is a compromise they made because of time and resources that not really pleases anyone fully. I really hope they add the counterparts at a later date while fixing the gear issue as they technical would not add another race. But that means we have to wait and see which is again stupid after they baited us with male Viera for some time. Still disappointed by their decision.

I don't mind having to wait a bit. They have a schedule and development takes time.

I like how even after all the years of begging and requesting they only threw in Viera as a second thought.

And then slapped us in the face.

Honestly if Yoshi just said straight away "here's the female Viera, we're still working on the males and they'll be patched in eventually, please be patient", then I and a whole lot of other people would have been very satisfied.

Really if they had been open from the start all of this could have been avoided! Especially if they would then add that hey look forward to the other genders!

It also really kinda sucks that they haven't been working on the races as long as one would think. Especially with concept work from all the way back from Heavensward!

If they don't add them within the next expansion cycle I'd say the chances are at least half decent that they appear with the expansion after Shadowbringers.
