Information on why the devs didn't include Viera Male/Hrothgar Female

i wonder if this community would be happy if you got bunny girl /lion boy this expantion and next expantion bunny boys/lion girls

If they had just released male and female viera and never brought in the Hrothgar at all, none of these threads about gender locked races would have popped up.

...instead the forums would be flooded with threads about how there was no new healer revealed instead. If they came out today and said "we have male viera and female hrothgar in development" the most likely response would be "you should have been working on that from the beginning, you don't get praise for doing what you're supposed to. Now give us a new healer."

Also, to all the adamant SE defenders I just want to add this:

SE doesn't care about you, they just want your money. The multi-billion dollar company doesn't need you to stand up for them. They have lawyers for that.

I'm just sitting here thinking about how everyone -thinks- Bunny dudes will look like and saying to myself. " Male bun buns will most likely never look like what people are picturing." I am just looking at all the other male designs in this game and wondering why people think bunny men will look like women with flat chest instead of looking like the men we already have? I mean it's not like the female bunnies look different then the other races in game so why do people think men WILL look different? Pretty much people were setting themselves up for failure no matter WHAT happened. :c

i don't stand for any company. i stand for logic and reason, i'll make whatever comments i want if i see things that don't make sense.

and yes, SE is a company, but if you've ever seen/met the devs, who are real people, they care about their work. i have sympathy for people who like their jobs even when the company they work for limit them. that doesn't mean i always agree with their decisions either.

Though to be fair, Egi Glamours didn't get a third, a quarter of the outcry this is. I don't think anyone unsubbed over a lack of Egi glamours, though I could be wrong.

It did not get the same kind of attention that this is no, but it is something that Yoshi and the development team have recognized people want for a long time now, and I believe even at one point said they were going to address the issue.

IK this may sound bad but i think SE needs to get this feedback and make their decision by 5.1 (latest) for if they go ahead and add these genders they only have to do 4 expansions worth(ARR,HW,SB,ShB) of gear the longer they leave it the more and more work that gets pilled on and it will get to a point where it be too much work and start to delay things

We know that.

But we also know that we're paying them our money for actual content. Not for something that is resource extensive and purely cosmetic like a new race that even if they decided to do or not won't be game breaking nor would make us unsub.

If someone was playing this game and paying their sub all these years just in hope for a new race, then I really feel sorry for them, since they clearly don't know what they're paying for.

I'm personally pretty happy that instead of getting one whole race of bunnies with both genders, we instead got one race of females, and one race of males that looks completely different. Way more diversity.

Can always hope both of these races get their genders unlocked later down the line.
