Avoid complaint burnout - schedule your complaining days!

Reading complaints about a product or community you have become attached to can be draining. I know someone who liked Fallout 76 and just had to tune out all the media on it because they couldn't take it. I am very sorry to all the people who have to put up with the deluge regarding race and job decisions. But really, blame the devs. None of the inciting incident was necessary.

And you know what else is draining? Writing those complaints. We complainers like the game and the community too. But with a customer-vendor relationship this torpid, we have to keep it up.

It has been mentioned in several threads that negative feedback has been effective.

Consider:

• The overhaul of Final Fantasy XIV, giving A Real Reborn
• The gender unlocking of Miqo'te and Roegadyn
• Housing reform, most recently
• Same-Sex Marriage
• Bunny Suits

But all of those took a long time.

To deal with the sustained effort required, it would be a good idea to calendar one's complaints. For example, I'm setting days of the week when I will make threads, and days when I'm going to primarily participate in others' threads. On busier days I'll just drop my thoughts and scram, and when I have time I'll mainly read others' thoughts and reply.

If we keep up a more modest pace of effort, we are less likely to burn out. We can also probably use a Discord channel to co-ordinate better. I've made one here : https://discord.gg/KuqtXHV

Again, I'm very sorry to people sensitive to negative feedback, but this is a necessary part of the customer-vendor relationship in a market without similar goods.

I've been dumping feedback into this feedback hole to get the different races hempen sets for more years than it takes SE to make a healer job, and I don't have any more underwear to show for it.

LOL is this serious? A discord for systematic complaint management? Specific complaints on certain days...I've never heard anything like it before. Between bunny girls and lion men and now this I can safely say I've seen it all now xD

I never burn out on complaints. I never run out of things to complain about! i just don't have any complaints about shadowbringers.
