It's a lot easier to add lore to something about a species with little lore concerning its whereabouts than one whose lore is focused on how exclusive they are. I'm not excusing what SE is doing with other races. Male viera would be worse than any other addition lorewise. I've played MMOs for a long time and started when they were text based. I know how they work. SE painted itself into a corner with races in general, but the male viera clearly are meant to be off limits via lore.

If they keep rewritting lore, it won't mean anything. The solution is not to rewrite lore over and over.

I can't answer every post directly, since there are a lot of replies, but everyone keeps saying the same thing anyway. That is that the lore doesn't matter, which means the story does not matter. However, people play FF for the story. If that story keeps changing for silly reasons, then it loses its appeal. I'm not sure why others do not undersrand why continuing down such a path is a problem.

Why is there a need for so much debate over gender locked races? It's a fantasy game, heck the game could even create 72 genders and it would still not be enough. Please take it easy everyone.

I personally love the game, been playing since early 2014 as I was invited in by a friend that ultimately quit, however I gotta say over the years its been noted that specific individuals/groups of people in the community ( nature/gender/roles w/e defining words to be used don't matter ) have been having an alarming increase on how they react to things and in a seriously disturbing fast manner.

I wanna say I have no issue (which shouldn't matter to anyone ) with people voicing their opinions/concerns. but when people try to enforce things through bullying/racist/hate/shaming via assumptions without getting a full picture view or even attempting to discuss it it just looks bad, especially for SOME groups whe people try to "speak for everyone in X range" it just brings more chaos and salt, and people just seem to refuse to bring open points and views on things, and I'm not talking baout people stating they're unsubbing as many have stated if the game no longer appeals to u then theres no need to force yourself to spend money on it.

That said there are still great feedback threads , just the major issue is when people attempt to derail them with rage and contempt things spiral out and it just becomes an argument of semantics because X side cannot keep an open mind to the discussion.

My biggest gripe is the DC split but aside form the game I have a ton of friends that keep me coming back to play , draw, animate etc.There's to much to do honestly, and I'm definitely looking forward to 5.0 I just wish people could at least try to be civil like the older days when people would simply break things down, voice it, present their side and give some good information, its things like this that make me worry that the chaos that goes on here is partly why NA gets less and less attention because the hate spam just cycles threads out of control making it SERIOUSLY tough for admins to cycle through and prune actual information to get feedback.

I love this game to death but I'm really worried about how fast people are escalating things out of context. Again this isn't focused at everyone, just those that are taking it extremely out of context and logic.
