While I doubt there'll be any more fanfests or anything, they could still reveal a third class...


But one thing I kind of hate to point out with healers is there's very little room for new mechanics, you got WHM doing Heal over Time and SCH doing shields, AST doing both (kind of).

The only kind of healer I could see being made that doesn't just do the same things as other healers, would be having little to no HoTs or Shields and just having really strong single target healing, think oldschool WoW Healadins.

They could do to healers was their going to do to tanks. Have shield based healers and HoT based healers. Remove the ability of AST to switch, put them in one of the two and make the next healer whatever would be 4th.

If they want to differentiate give them all a small gimmick. AST gets cards, SCH gets fairy, WHM gets. . . idk, come up with something.

For all people say "what could a new healer bring" the same can be said for DPS. I find it impossible to believe that they can create however-many-dps there are that basically all just wear somethings health down but somehow make it unique enough for DPS, while at the same time claim it is impossible to do the same for healers.

edit: I should add that I am not upset that Dancer is a DPS nor that tanks are getting a new job. My only point is that all roles should get new toys to play with.

What I want more than a new healer is White Mage changes, the Lily mechanic is worthless and makes it so White has no real job mechanic at all. So if they can change White Mage to give it a real meaningful and impacting job mechanic it'll be like a new healer to me.

Yeah, 100% lilies need a change, at the point where you barely pay attention to a resource, you gut it. Kinda like they said with TP. Will have to see what they come up with but I imagine it'll be a big change.

So we can toss the Gunbreaker? The Tanks love their jobs, right? There is no NEED for a new tank. Why bother?

Of course I love healing. But everyone would like to try something new and get to level and have something different to see if it suits them better. That's kind of what the ranged-physical dps are on about, isn't it? Why is this ANY different for the healers? Again, we're told to just 'settle for what you have, wait for them to dust it off and put some varnish on it and be happy'. That's kind of crappy.

I don't foresee myself leaving warrior any time soon.
While I like the idea of a new tank, if they didn't add one I wouldn't be heartbroken or distraught or aghast, or whatever adjective you wish to describe the salt that is going around.
