Question for the Forum Users in regards to Fanfest

Now, I addressed this in another post as more of a side comment- not fully fleshing it out. However, I must know...

Why do you refer to Square Enix as a single humanized entity with traits and emotions? SE is a major corporation with many branches. They publish manga, general merch and a multitude of games of many genres. East and West studios as well. You have Tomb Raider, Hitman, Just Cause and of course Final Fantasy.

I see many- many comments on sexism, homophobia and all these little agendas as though SE wakes up in the morning with a bad hangover, ready for another bottle of beer and ready hate the world. Is Tomb Raider homophobic? Does Just Cause have sexist traits? No, really.

Ronso and Viera both come from a source. Is FFX sexist, I don't remember any homophobia from FFXII either. I'm failing to understand how the lack of male viera is an attack on a sexuality when they didn't even exist in their source game. Physically anyway. And one must remember, these are SE properties. The staff of FFXIV walked on stage, and there are male and female designers and writers.

There is a woman sitting at her desk, writing ideas to pass to a co-worker right now about something cute that could be included for bunny girls. I would like to know how that is sexism towards women.

The "one can have, and another shall not" drives people to this kind of judgment. Viera, possessing the pattern of what most call "sexy body type" and also, imo, bunnies associated with a naughty magazine; makes peeps think that this race is somehow a ERP race.
The design doesn't help then. The Beastly ones are bulky, viril; and the bunnies sexy and wild.
So, let's take the world contest last year, with a lot of debates about women rights (and the fight against objecting women), this also being the spot on our last Stormblood storyline with Yotsuyu and Fordola, Lyse...
It all goes against the understanding of necessity of locking the race... or why males cannot follow the same pattern of "sexy and wild".

Also, FF was always a game that had in its core plot the debate about religion, morals. And that is what I most love on it, they always had a soul on it...
This lock just seems off track.
So even if they say "in Tatics this, FF XII that..." they always stated that somehow a reality in one shard is one thing, not the same thing from other games. Like our Ivalice is not the same of XII... (at least that's what I understood so far, so this last line is totally my interpretation).

I personally tend to reference Square Enix as a whole when I say Square Enix as another means to say the CEO calls the shots, even over a producer or director.

With this outcry around Viera and the lack of male PCs, I can't help but wonder if somewhere, a higher had gotten involved and impressed upon keeping the integrity of what Viera were accessible to players. This is not the first time Viera are making an appearance in the game, but like other titles with them, it is limited to only females.

As for the other stuff, I'm under the belief of players labeling something and attempting to turn it into an issue that doesn't exist.
