Yeah they like to make people upset, especially women that want the same opportunity to play a beast race like men do.
I generally respond once then put them on ignore. It's not worth wasting my daily word count on them.

PLZ!!!?!
I feel like a fair amount of male players would prefer the mithra angle. Fantasy races that can be easily sexualized tends to sell. And they tend to attract far more players because they naturally adhere to the ‘male gaze’ by boasting a humanoid woman’s build.
It’s why female Charr aren’t exactly a popular choice in GW2.
Now me? I wanna play a powerful beast woman for sure. Because that option is a rare one. But I’m a woman who doesn’t care about maintaining traditional female aesthetics. So my perspective on the matter is bound to be different.
They already have that, it's called female Miqote.
I don't think that'd be the case. A good portion of male players does care about stuff looking bestial, and we've moved far past the notion that men only want hot gorgeous women. More and more there's been a push for different female characters.I feel like a fair amount of male players would prefer the mithra angle. Fantasy races that can be easily sexualized tends to sell. Sure, you'll obviously still have those who thirst over petite women, but that's not the whole of the male gender. Nor does it mean it's an exclusive thing. Many men are more than willing to give femroes a try.
And I don't like playing this card because there's no way to verify this with actual numbers, but from my own personal experience, Hrothgar is a popular race among LGBT men.
I'm a gay man. 90% of my FC is LGBT. And even those who wouldn't play Female Hrothgar point out that they'd love large and bulky women like the males are because it would fit.
So... Yeah, I understand I myself can't prove this. But as a gay man, I'm already 1 person that already would be in full support of Female Hrothgar like these. Can you provide verification that the majority of men would prefer a petite and slender female version of Hrothgar akin to Mithra?
Because... and I'm sorry for this, but you do realize you're sounding like those women who throw the sexist line that "this fits the male fantasy", yes? It's uh... it's just not a healthy assumption to make without proper verification. It might be true, but it might also not be... and there's no real evidence for this when a good portion of this thread has stated they'd prefer women like that. Be they male or female or otherwise.
So, yeah, sorry but citation needed.
If the "best evidence" for Mithra support is a sexist assumption, then it's not a good argument to make for it.
And as has been stated several times, that option does exist: it's called playing Miqo'te. Clearly this race isn't made with that demographic in mind.
I never once claimed men as a whole wanted petite Hroth. Nor that this is what the player base wants. This thread is trending toward a more accurate build toward female Hroth as opposed to severe sexual disparity.Because... and I'm sorry for this, but you do realize you're sounding like those women who throw the sexist line that "this fits the male fantasy", yes? I'm simply trying to make sense of those who actually WANT Mithra - and I mean wholeheartedly want them to be petite, slimly structured, bikini models. Pages back - and a mean quite a few because the conversation happened last year - I argued with someone who demanded just that.
Also I said 'fair amount'. Not the 'majority'.

And why do we care what opinion some men have about a race that in the majority would appeal to women? Wouldn't it make more sense to just have the race appeal to women? If they want Mithra, Miquo'te are literally it. If I want a beast race I have nothing. So excuse me when I say that I don't care what some weird man baby has to say about a tall beautiful female beast because it's not his "male gaze" approved.I feel like a fair amount of male players would prefer the mithra angle. Mithra would be a bad call. Simple.
Female Hrothgar is not Mithra, they are Hrothgar. Look at the males, do they look like male Mithra? No? Then why would you argue that women have to be? If people want Mithra, then make a separate thread and ask for Mithra. I would give my +1 instantly because I see more customisation options as a good thing, but in this thread, we are talking about female Hrothgar.
