Here's Hoping my Alts/Main Transfer Nicely into the Upgraded Graphics.
As well as the expected tinkering with the Rothgals.
Gonna be Busy Days once Any of the Upcoming Is Out to the Public.

I can't wait. Really! T_T So many times, if I feel like in a bad mood, I rewatch the trailer and start smiling...
However, my enthusiasm results in triple amount of fantasia, because I can’t sit still and experiment unsettled. On the plus side, I've been rethinking my glam routine, to find the right style, hehe!Something more sporty would probably look good on my big lady, hm, hm. Neutral colors and pops of bright/metallic. Btw, while was typing this, remembered that we will be given the opportunity to color two elements in each piece!
Please share your thoughts on this if you'd like! :3 For myself, I decided that the first thing my gil will be spent on after the release of DT is a racial outfit! I wonder how this will dyes with the new color options (painting the necklace part would be fun!).
Oh and yeah, speaking of which... Noticed this back with the release of the bunboys, but it seems that quite a lot of people remain unaware that starting equipment, unique to each race and gender, can be purchased in the first three city-states from NPCs , usually next to a large aetheryte. Keep this in mind, and don't get caught on the market board!
Thinking of turning my alt into a Highlander temporarily since the body type seems similar enough, and I could experiment with glams that way… or maybe a Femroe would be better? At any rate, that would require a Fantasia since my alt already used her free ones. lolI can't wait. Really! I’ll probably be focusing on my main first once Dawntrail hits… I always do MSQ first, so I’ll be doing that on my main class/secondary class to split xp. And after that I’m immediately leveling Pictomancer. lol But I’ll have my Hrothgal ready to go as soon as they give us the benchmark!
UnderstandableThinking of turning my alt into a Highlander temporarily since the body type seems similar enough, and I could experiment with glams that way… or maybe a Femroe would be better? At any rate, that would require a Fantasia since my alt already used her free ones. lolSince Femroe share the same body type as them, I think it's fine, although the pose and details will be 100% different... but good idea!
Happy first day of calendar spring, wherever you are! Hope today will be a good time for all of us, and we'll all around reasons to be happy.
We are getting closer to DT, step by step, as well.![]()
I've been meaning to share this for a long time, but something kept distracting me, ah... It's was endlessly sad when Karmaho stopped publishing, although I understand why they made this decision. Hope, however, one day we will have the opportunity to enjoy their miracle concepts again.
And now bring one of the stunning works of the infinitely beautiful artist, Yoshitaka Amano, who I think many here know due to his connection with Final Fantasy series. Although the hero here comes from another story, I really like how Amano-san managed to combine graceful beast and heroic human lines in one. To this day, one of the art that inspires me!

I love the art Mr. Amano produces! This looks very impressive!I've been meaning to share this for a long time, but something kept distracting me, ah... It just makes me want to put together a glam with a long cape for my Female Hrothgar! Arghhhhh!!! I am having way too many glam ideas, I need to have them already!!! When is the benchmark coming?
₍ᐢ. .ᐢ₎
I want to save my final verdict for the benchmark because there may be customizations that I like more than anything seen in the trailer, or the devs may do edits/polish the race a bit between now and then, but at least from a first impression I got to say they're less human than I thought they'd look, which is good, but have to agree with some they're still a bit of in the uncanny valley since they very clearly wanted to make them more conventionally waifu, hence the shorter, almost human-faced snouts (surprise to nobody, but I ain't beating that dead chocobo).
My one true complaint tho is the size of their heads seems *tiny*, specially when next to a male Hroth, if Wuk Lamat is anything to go by.
If only the head was a liiiiiittle bigger...
side by side, if it's not noticeable at first glance. Also to consider she's wearing a turban(?), so her head is even smaller than what it seems.

Because of the way height-scaling works, their heads will be proportionately larger at max height, if that's any consolation lol. But frankly, discrepancy in head-size between genders is pretty common across most of the other races too -- usually in the reverse. Fem Hyurs (of either clan) have absolutely massive heads compared to their male counterparts, for example, probably because larger heads relative to the body make the figure look proportionally smaller and "cuter", while smaller heads relative to the body make the figure appear taller and more imposing. In isolation, that's fine, but they look ridiculous side by side, because their actual height difference in most cases isn't as great as their proportions suggest lol.
I would hold my opinion until the benchmark as well (though I do like what we have seen so far). Wuk Lamat is not even a finished model (if you go into the files, she is "dismembered" for a lack of a better term, to the clothing articles - hence the turban). I think I have seen quite a few people mentioning that their heads seem a tad bit too small, but at least for me, not noticeable enough to be a real complaint. And we all knew that to some extent they would "waifu" them, but I am pleasantly surprised that they at least "waifu" them in accordance to their race and not make them literally "Cats the Movie part 2, electric boogaloo".
Even if in the benchmark their heads would be too small, I am sure that we could voice it on the Forum and social media. And it could get sorted, just like the curved spine for bun boys. The devs want to make a product that we would like so they can make us buy the expansion. For me, this race is THE selling point, the rest is cool, but not as big as the Lion Queens finally being playable.
All in all, I am experimenting with the males in the CC to finally pin down some colour combinations that stick out to me, so I will have some idea of what colours I would like (I have had a grey, yellow, light brown, black, white, blue and pink male Hrothgar - I loved all of them) So trying to figure out like a mix of what should I go for. The benchmark can't come soon enough... ;v;
I can just hope we will get to see the options and people will be able to find that perfect mix that fits them!
As for the design they went with in the trailer, They are not particularly the most flattering (Except the lady in my sig, love the colour combo), with the added thing that, besides the pink one, none of the ladies are shown with their face marks, so not exactly the most detailed. But watching the Males trailer, they didn't try to make them particularly attractive, I think they looked good, but nowhere near some created by players. Also, in the male's CC, you can adjust their muzzle's length by choosing the right nose options, so I hope that would be made available to the females, cause if so, the majority of the problems people have could be solved.
But that is my 2 cents.
And if people have done the same and played with the male's colour palette, and even if not, did you finalise what colour scheme(s) are you looking into trying?
