Female Hrothgar as a playable race. Show your support!

Female Ronso/Hrothgar are already shown in the x games. There is no point in genderlocking them.

The reason I made this thread is to ask for those that believe in female Ronso/Hrothgar as a playable race. I believe that both gender locks should equally be removed.

In an ideal world, absolutely. If they can give us both sexes of both Viera and Hrothgar some day, they absolutely should.

If there's limitations on new races however, I prefer what we have. Out of the four options (male/female/viera/hrothgar) the only one that appeals to me is male Hrothgar.

While genderlocking isn't ideal, the decision between which races we get shouldn't be dictated by it.
If you arent even going to play a male Viera, you shouldnt deny others the chance to play as Hrothgar.

"Im sorry, we were going to give you a Ronso race, but we cant because people demand equal representation and we were forced to include male Viera instead."
That would cause just as much backlash.

I was originally just excited to play a bunny girl, but now that I've seen some artwork for possible female Hrothgar I really want them as an option! Also gender locks seem silly and I find it odd they're a thing after hearing Yoshi P was so opposed to the original Roegadyn and Miq'ote gender locks.

+1 I wouldn't make my main one since I love being a Roe lady but I would have absolutely made a Hrothgar lady alt.

We don't know what Hrothgar lore is and I'm pretty sure they're called Hrothgar so that they can make up lore for why they are the way they are.

Reminds me about the arguments when Pandaren from WoW was being implemented in the game. A game to evolve must include new lore which means introducing a new races to the series as well.

This is exactly why I dont understand why male Viera couldn't have been a thing. If they could have just as easily thrown out the lore for Ronso by saying "but they aren't reeeeally Ronso" then why couldn't they have done that with Viera, too?



Anyway, back on topic.... I agree. Especially with Hrothgar the genderlock really sucks as there's honestly no like-race to choose from. So if you want to be more beast-like, you pretty much have to play a male. Unfortunate.
