I agree! I would really love to see the female hrothgar and male viera. I think it would be really cool if they added to the lore for the viera to have the male be available. I also really want to have the hrothar females added bc they are similar to ronsos! The dev team works really hard and i appreciate them take the time to read feedback!
I'm always in favor of more options for all players, and I would hope that there is that same option for something more beastial for female toons as male ones. It's unfortunate that everything that has a more animal appearance has been ramped up to 11 cuteness for female toons. Au Ra are the worst for this given that they were up to now, the most beast like for males, but for females, they look like porcelain dolls.
It sounds very nice and welcoming to say options are nice, and they absolutely are-- in a vacuum. The issue is the team needs to avoid a femroe situation due to the resources required to implement a new race, and I can't blame yoship for avoiding "less pretty" female characters when the community is half catgrill.I'm always in favor of more options for all players, and I would hope that there is that same option for something more beastial for female toons as male ones. Frankly, the resources expended for a 2% cut of the community are better spent on a new dungeon, raid, or Eureka-like side content. Heck, a limited job is more valuable to the game as a whole than a race option few take.

Female hrothgar should be a thing so people can get their Cheetara cosplay on.
Thundercats, hoooooooooooo!
This gets my support. Doesn't make sense to have gender-lock this day and age. Yoshi-P did say they would consider feedback on this issue, so this makes me hopeful that they'll do a 180 on this decision. Obviously it's too late now, since we're so close, but hopefully sooner rather than later.
Adding my support for female Hrothgar, I would very much like to see them as playable.
I would love to be able to experience Shadowbringers as a female Hrothgar or male Viera character. I understand the cost and the time involved in making this a possibility (the dev team looked very exhausted at Fan Fast the other day), but I think it would be a real cherry on top of what looks to be an amazing expansion. Just as creating female Roegadyn and male Miqo'te was worth it, I think this effort will be worth the time and money as well.
Thank you, Yoshida!
At a certain point, you could say that about most if not all of the fluff content. Why add multiple housing items every patch when most players will probably never use them? Why add so many camera and posing options when the amount of people making use of said features are a minority? Hell, if we're really gonna do this, you could say this exact same thing about Ultimate content. Why even add it to the game if the vast majority of players aren't ever expected to clear it, let alone even try to attempt it?It sounds very nice and welcoming to say options are nice, and they absolutely are-- in a vacuum. Who cares if female Hrothgar only appeal to a small minority? You add them for literally the same reason you add any of that other stuff: to make that minority happy.
The irony here though is they may only appeal to a small number of players, the playerbase as a whole is going to spend more time with this "content" than any of that other stuff. Most people are never gonna own or even see half the housing fluff added to the game. Most people are never gonna mess around with every camera option and take a million different screenshots. Most people aren't gonna step into Savage or Ultimate. Literally everyone is going to run across a Hrothgar female, just as they would a femroe, at some point whether it be through the duty finder, going into town, or even just out and about in the world. We're rare, but you're definitely going to see one. So teeeechnically, if more people on average "experience" femroes than something like Savage, wouldn't it make them more important?
(okay...like...just so we're clear, I'm joking when I say femroes/female Hrothgar are more important than Savage content lol. Point is that, in my opinion, the argument for actively excluding them feels flimsy at best. Just sayin.)

I never expected Hrothgar to show up and while it's an interesting race please don't gender lock them! It's really unfair to those who would love a strong female race to play that isn't roegadyn. Please put some consideration into making the female Hrothgar with the male Viera, there's no real reason not to other than avoiding the work!
