1. People don't want a Miquo'te 2.0. They want a well-designed female counterpart for male Hrothgar. If you want a Mithra, why not play FF11 and leave the people who want a beast race to have one?
2. There aren't only 2 options, the devs could definitely adjust the headgear to fit all races. It would just take some time and effort.
3. You might not want or don't like the idea of F. Hrothgar, but that is not a reason to be rude.
tbh at this point I fear they'll get worgen and goblins treatment like when WoW did the playable races model revamp: leaving them for last, way after all other races got theirs aside pandaren, due being the "newest" ones.To be honest, I am just waiting on the 7.0 info at this point. They might come then (since it's a new expansion and that is when they add new races), I am one of the people that can't wait to play as them, but I would rather them take their sweet time to add them, but only if that means they will do them right!
I have a lot of hopes for 7.0 (maybe more than I should), but with the graphical update to the world and characters. I can hope that this will give them the perfect excuse to solve some of the character creators and the assets for the Viera and Hrothgars.
I am hoping they will get some more people as designers for both the code "untangle" and then assets adjustments.
Until then I just hope they will make an amazing model for Female Hrothgar as they did for Male Viera (appearance-wise) and we all will be able to enjoy them!
As much as it is true, this is just a reflection of how relaxed SE is, while there are players who simply defend everything the company does, and it won't actually be a problem due to the lack of structure of the company itself.
As we can see from twitter, 1 person alone can make all headgears work in both races, 1 person can make paws in both races (which they have in other games in the franchise), 1 person can put ears on all miqo'te's helmets, 1 person can adapt any hair (decently) for hrothgars and vieras (this is taking into account 2 years).
The company is saving efforts. With 2 professionals working on it in 3 years, we would have the helmets adapted, along with the hair. The male viera and the female hrothgar are not the company's problem, the problem is that SE no longer cares about doing its best.
I want big, muscle kitties so badly. There's not a crying emoji, but imagine one in this message.
I also fear that the amazing fanart in this thread has risen my expectations higher than SE can actually deliver. Thanks to those sharing them! They're my favorite part about this thread.
Bumping support for this, but going off the rails a bit....
One thing that bothers me in XI and XIV, is what makes it unique compared to other mmo.....But also completely nullifies the need to play as other races.....
One character, can play every class......
While I want probably want more races more than anyone, when we do get it I am like..."Okay, so now what?" lol...
"Oh, so I gotta play every class all other again to be a bunny man or lion lady?"
I know this was said before, but still.....class locking is frowned upon, but it low-key serves a purpose.
got a chance to scribble a bit today and felt like hrothgar
i love the drawings already in this post, but just adding my vision of a more tomboy/nb features and hair
i would love if undercuts got featured on fem hroth or hroth in general

good job!
I imagine them having hair down their spines as well (based on Nanaki - as well known as Red XIII, from FFVII).![]()
