Female Hrothgar as a playable race. Show your support!

I support this not only because gender-locking is wrong, but also because I really really want to play as a big strong tiger woman.
I get that this is a massive game and that adding new races isn't easy, so as long as it happens eventually I'll be happy.

I'll vote yes, simply because female hrothgar aren't getting a lot of love. It seems to be all about male viera, and its honestly really stupid. People should care for both.

I also agree that gender locking anything is silly (do you know how good some of the female-only clothes would look on men?), and I also agree with not making the female Hrothgar look like humans. They should still have those cat faces, just like the males of their race. Because we are coming up on launch just a few months away, it might be prudent to polish what you have and add in the other genders as you can produce them in a later patch, but please consider doing so. Having Hrothgar male-only as a response to Viera being female-only is not a good reason to gender lock the race.

Female Ronso/Hrothgar are already shown in the x games. There is no point in genderlocking them.

The reason I made this thread is to ask for those that believe in female Ronso/Hrothgar as a playable race. I believe that both gender locks should equally be removed.

My friends and I were very much looking forwards to making different characters, Several of which would have been male Viera, and when it was evident that the ronso were a possibility one of my friends wanted to make a female ronso. We would very much like it if you re-considered the gender lock, and gave us them both. To gender lock something in this day and age seems a bit of a regression, and I know many gamers would -really- like to see both genders of both of these races. Thank you for your time and consideration.

This has my support. Having seen male Hrothgar I think it is a shame there's no equally muscular savage cat ladies to go with them. Femroes need friends in the gym.

Ugh, Maeve! I agree 100%! I loved the idea of having a beastly race for players, and was utterly heartbroken when there were only men! The Female Viera are gorgeous, and the Male Hrothgar are fierce as heck, but I just wish they both had counterparts. As someone whose main is normally a Highlander Female, I'm always appreciative of seeing big and strong women that don't adhere to the traditional standard of feminine beauty. Bring on the muscle cats and bunny boys!

I definitely agree that female Hrothgar (and male Viera) need to be added.
I assume there were some internal issues that led to them being cut, because this just seems like a weird decision, but I don't think it's an acceptable excuse in 2019. I also hope there wouldn't be too much dimorphism between the Hroth options. Tuff ladies pls.
I hope this can be resolved without (further?) dev crunch being necessary.

I"m someone who only started playing late last year, so I wasn't around for the original XIV. But I can absolutely tell you as someone who loves Roe and loves playing as her fem Roe, I am genuinely sad to hear about the genderlocking stuff! I was really hoping for the option for fem Hrothgar/Ronson cause let's be real the option to play as a powerful tall lady just is not on the table for most games, and even when it is like in XIV there's usually only one option. Giving people variety attracts new players and players who maybe lost interest.

I'll admit, I probably will never play Viera/Hrothgar since I'm comfortable with my Miqo'te, but I don't like gender-locking anything in this game. Even if the Viera have a vague justification in FF history (which I don't think should restrict the desgin of FF14, but others might), the Hrothgar/Ronso absolutely don't at all. There were plenty of female Ronso's in FFX, and there was never any, to my knowledge, major separation between the genders mentioned in that game.
