Female Hrothgar as a playable race. Show your support!

What's interesting is that for all the talk of 'beastly' aesthetics, the vast majority of those who supposedly like such features end up going for the 'cutest' combination of features possible. Almost every single Hrothgar I see in-game or on the forum makes use of the 'Runar' face, for instance - which is arguably the least fierce of all the possible base features.

Beast =/= "savage/ ugly/ hard"
Beastly just means animal like and all the hrothgar faces are animal af.

People pick the pretty Hrothgar face for the simple fact that it looks pretty/ cool. Much like how .... 90% of the tiny population of Femroe use Face 2 cause it's default looks good without changing much. They could legit give the females cute house-cat faces and they would be the most beastly option compared to everything else cause it's not a human face.

I assume the faces would follow suite with the males, have one full on Ronso face that looks older, one pretty/ cute face, one full on Lion face and one sharp/ clever/ evil face (MY fav). Their whole thing is that they don't really have to be limited to what kinda beast they depict so they can toss in fiction FF cat monsters or ronso or lions or w/e you want to call the pretty face as inspiration.

But then again ... Male elezen have a lumpy old man face and a boy face and kitty bois have the Mature/ hard face yet neither of the females do. In fact, all the females seem to avoid having the same level of hard/ unattractive as the dudes with the base designs without changing settings. So who knows, maybe we get a regal lion face and some smaller breed cat heads for the other options. cheetah based head would be pretty cool.

Like, I get the feeling your taking the 'Beastly' thing to serious and literal, it just literally means a non-human face. 'Beast' just refers to animal.
Like Yencat said, it sounds like your aiming for the Original Worgen appearance, which looked pretty bad hahaha. do not see them doing that for a Playable race in XIV.
Maybe if they were NPC enemies this would fly no prob.

I guess it is best to ignore such, people who post such only see the minority and make fun of it. On the topic of Worgen i actually would had prefered we ahd gotne the Wolfman as race they introduced in Stormblood, sure Hyuran body and all but Tail and Head atleast nice, would had been less work then Hrotghar honestly and they could had focused maybe better on both genders in both races.

I simply still not get what Yoshi and his team was thinking, sure, listening to fanbase is good, but to often we got demans that well, not really fleshed out, look at Bluemage aswell here. This "Job" and the new races both existed onyl for demand and not for fitting the story and it only makes it a mess.

I still say with Viera at least they should ahd adjusted the Lore, it feels lazy simply, everythign else from other FF got fitted into 14 yet those have to stay like they are? Yet on the other hand it is ok to make only starter gear make use of there feet aswell yet all others are normal.

Hrotghar feel just tacked on due the issue they created themself sadly. On top of Hair and Headgear, i mean old gear i can understand but new one? Not even that is wearable apperently which makes the races feel even more lazier created. Showing it to us like there own team not wants to work on them anymore, like they are sick of it themself already. At least so it seems if you keep seeing this now.

Female Ronso/Hrothgar are already shown in the x games. There is no point in genderlocking them.

The reason I made this thread is to ask for those that believe in female Ronso/Hrothgar as a playable race. I believe that both gender locks should equally be removed.

This thread needs love again. Support female Hrothgar and give them as much love as the male Viera.

Honestly, be happy that it made it to 123pages and there is no Squabbling and endless fighting.
FemHroth got plenty of love, this thread doesn't need to compete with Male Viera.

Besides, not much to talk about unless some new info happens. Lets be Patient before we feel the need to reignite the thread

Merlwyb is what we all hope from a female Hrothgar. Powerful, beautiful, and most definitely deadly. I still have a headcanon that the queen has guards not only to protect her, but also to protect people from her personal wrath.
