Im gonna have to say hard pass as well as please no.

The devs already told you you're not getting all the head gear. Tis how they designed the Viera and Hrothgar.
I'd pref supporting something they haven't ruled out completely, to remind them that people want it. Or at the very least having a place where we can think openly about how they could look.
Agreed.
Even if I don't think they would be animal headed Femroe I still don't think they should/ want them to be almost human in face.
Even if they make them middie tall they should have animal faces. Even if they make them house cat based faces for the anime uwu fanbase of this game.

I wouldn't mind them looking towards Khajiit for inspiration. Just more muscular and with horns sometimes.

The poor bastards don't even get headwear even though they're just using the Roegadyn animation skeleton, and you want them to add a whole new gender?
I actually quite agree, but man you are sincerely optimistic.
It's all a matter of operations management.
If Yoship can find a way to "bribe" (make his case) why XIV needs graphic artists from Square enix's other departments to be added to his development team then it can be done. He just has to convince the CEOs and marketing department why it's critical they do this now for the future of FFXIV and the company as a whole. Let's hope that our fiery support 1800+ people in the male Viera thread and some 1200+ here is enough to move them. Detaching face/hair has been done by them already by the way, you can see this at Bozja. It's just a matter of doing it for all the hrothgar hair styles and face combinations.
I mean, Viera also don't get hats. I would GLADLY toss aside my truly favorite hat in this game (The Eureka Aiming and Striking hat that I'm likely wearing RN) a long with all my unlocked hairs to have a well implemented Female Hrothgar to play.
And there's a difference between being optimistic and wanting something to happen.
Optimistic is thinking they will ever be playable as things stand.
The only way I can see that happening is if FF14 is getting a PSO2: NG level engine update for 6.0. That or if the general decrease in dngs/ battle content is a sign of them using resources to make the new genders. So tbh I don't hold much personal hope. MAYBE they will show us how they look ... but there is a long WIDE road between "seeing a NPC that doesn't do even a fraction of what a character can" and "fully playable race/ gender".
Doesn't mean people can't want or hope for things to happen, and that's all this thread really is. A place where we can show the devs that we want this and talk among ourselves about how cool they would be.
The 2nd image they look a little too lean and Frail, just going off of the image at face value.
Now that 1st Khajiit image on the other hand, would be bloody awesome if they could look that fierce.
Im not feeling the idea with horns though personally, since they are primarily Feline, it wouldnt make sense for them to have horns, not like they are Charr or anything. If the Ronso argument comes back that was only the Males.
But hey there at least are a few Horn Glamours.
Its not like they cant do it later man. Sure it sucks we dont just have it now, but also gotta understand that would be ALOT of gear they'd need to redesign to fit a Non-human head. Some of the Face gear doesn't even properly fit because it wasnt made for such a face.
Its really not that Critical that Hrothgar wear hats. It would be cool if they got some gear designed/redesign some gear for the Hrothgar, but its not like its a do-or-die thing. Otherwise they would have had it done at the start no excuses. I don't think Yoshi needs to Bribe or make a case to get this done, you made the idea before (I think it was you, I could be confusing you) that us getting 1 less dungeon could be a sign of them putting more effort to get things done and made for the Races (Genders, and Headgear, hairstyles etc)It's all a matter of operations management.

But also understand, you can't just relocate and take a bunch of workers off other projects like that for....Headgear. That would put other projects behind which would be more damaging to Squares Company as a whole, then Bara Catmen wearing hats.
I think optional little horns on a face or two could be interesting. Ronso usually just have the one in the middle of the forehead so it's not too much like the Charr. The 2nd image they look a little too lean and Frail, just going off of the image at face value.

More Hrothgar-flavored Khajiit

Oh man, Im in love with the idea of the Left one being a Hrothgar Female. I love that look on the design.
Dye the fur White and it would be perfect for The Lost: forsaking her duty as a Queen to go live as a Free Nomad.
That or like maybe a Matriarchs Royal Guard.
