Dear SE,

I wish you had just come out and said it, that there will be no new healer class. Having to dig through poorly translated interviews for confirmation of our worst fears (that there's not going to be a new healer class), that really sucked. You have a history of teasing and baiting us, so we hung on to every word and every hint that you were doing it this time.

We're this far into the third fanfest and you still haven't given a super clear answer. I expect if there's no healer for it to be a statement and an apology. There will be no new healer class, we apologize and hope you will be excited for the new content we have planned for healer classes. Easy. No room for false hopes or speculation about trickery.

In the future, if you're going to disappoint us like this, please just come out and say it and apologize. Then we can move on and go back to being excited about everything else.

I'm still really excited about the expansion, I'm going to have a lot of fun, but please don't take advice from Activision Blizzard on how to relay bad news.

Well they only ever said 2 classes. If they do implement a healer any time soon, it'll probably be right before the expac launches and i somewhat doubt that'll happen..

Since Gunbreaker, which is a tank, was announced first, many thought the next job would be a healer. Please let us know why you decided to make Dancer a ranged DPS.

Yoshi-P: The decision to add another tank was made very early. I felt that the odd number of jobs for the roles of MT and OT was badly balanced. By adding a distinctive "Final Fantasy" weapon to the game, we hoped to appeal to those who have yet to try their hands on the game. And when I thought where we were going for the next one, it was decided to add a ranged DPS, because it only had two options for the role.

As for the healers, it is difficult to balance them, so I would like to focus on balancing the existing jobs in 5.0 before adding new ones.

i agree. its a mmo, you cannot get everything you want. sacrifices have to be made somewhere. and healers needed more time in the oven. range dps is in a worse place. what you have mch which no one plays and bard...dancer as a range is so needed and finally something that looks different. VS a healer that plays the same as the others minus the animations. in may they are going to show all classes and how they will be completely reworked, faster, better animations and distinct.

To be fair, it's really hard to hear anything with the audio problems atm.

It just felt super weird because they brushed past it with no acknowledgement or apology, like you would expect. That's how they've often handled bad news in the past.
